I have kids and do not agree with any kind of gun ban! Does that make me a bad parent?

No, I simply asked the question. However, what if your child was the last to be shot out of the 30 rounds that were in the magazine? Would you be a little upset that the s.o.b. had such a large magazine? When is enough, enough? They outlawed the manufacture of plastic guns so that we can detect them in metal detectors. Should people be able to purchase plastic guns?

3 10rd mags or 1 30rd either way its 30 bullets, if the mags are only 10rds then they are smaller and lighter making them easier to carry. Yeah the shooter may loose a little time changing mags but then again he might take a second longer before he fires each round to make sure it's on target.

That doesn't answer my question. How many mass murders of children need to happen before we take a look at limiting the amount of ammunition a civilian firearm should be able to fire?

Your comment is not really sensible either. If we only had 6 shooter revolvers in existence, that same punk woulda gone in and done the same thing and kept reloading. Once again that basic but true saying holds. Guns don't kill people, people kill people! I know that's overplayed, but it's very true. If all we had were knives, he'd have gone and stabbed those kids to death. There's no fixing some of the mentally challenged people on earth, other than we the people noticing these type people and speaking out! Not sitting back wondering when such a mental case WILL act out.
How does that not answer your question? You can't limit the number of rounds a weapon can fire because if you limit the mags to 10rds per mag people can just carry more mags. STOP BLAMING THE GUN IT DIDN'T JUMP UP AND KILL ANYONE.

I am a man that takes responsibility for his action i do not pass the buck on...video games or large magazines...
the problem is not the gun!!! if someone wanted to kill a bunch of kids they could do it with out a fkn gun Period!!

No i would be concerned that my child was dead not how many rounds were used or the capacity of the clips....the problem is that people like yourself have children..and then these children make stupid life decisions...PERIOD...

For example we all know you can't carry a Loaded weapon with in 1000 feet of a school.
I bet you if that shooter had known this law more clearly this entire incident could have averted.
As well with the guns. I'm sure if there was a limit on amo or type of gun he would have surely followed those rules as well and this would have surely stopped the killing and only mowed down 7 kids at a time.
And I bet if he was informed that murder was not legal he would have realized that his plan was a bad one and went back to his video game.

Agreed... but would it not make it just a little bit harder for him to kill 26 people in a blink of an eye? He'd be able to kill 6, then what do you think would happen? I suppose he could carry 5 - 6 shooters and kill as many people as this asshole did... :dontknow:

You're right, the ammunition killed those children. Which were fired from a rifle that was made for warfare. Brought to a school, where children were learning by a crazy s.o.b. All of those factors contributed to this nightmare. Take out any single factor and we don't have the massacre.
Why can't I limit the number of rounds? Where in the Constitution does it explain that I am not allowed to limit the number of rounds a magazine can hold?
Show me one instance of a guy without a weapon of mass destruction killing 20 children in a matter of minutes... I'm willing to bet you can't find one.
Look, I agree with your philosophy of taking responsibility for your actions and those of your children. Good for you. I am of the same mindset.
So then, what IS the problem? What do you think the options are for trying to keep this from happening again?
And after that? Would you let that child die in vein?

First is it illegal to have a bomb? Did we take any steps to ensure someone couldn't do that again? Have those steps worked?
Again, what do you think are possible solutions?

HDViper, I respect your right to be unarmed. The 2nd Amendment does not say all citizens must be armed at all time to protect themselves against acts of violence.
By the same token, I hope you can respect my right to quietly conceal carry. I pray every day that people will do the right thing and that I am never faced with the realization that I might have to take anothers life to protect my family.
This is not about mass murder. Most acts of violence happen one on one and a lot of times the weapon is a weapon of convience. Training teaches us never to inject ourselves in the middle of a conflict. Most of the time it can be resolved by dialing 911 and waiting the few minutes for the local PD to show up.
Other times, the local PD just might be those precious few seconds too far away, then what. Do we say that its fair if a 250lb man is beating a 110 lb woman to death and her only defense is her own fist?
We could put every senario in the book under a microscope and try and decide what we should allow and what we shouldn't.
last, which is worse, someone that kills 20 children one at a time over several days or one that kills 20 in 10 minutes....

Yes it is illegal to have a bomb according to the fed state and local govt with a propellant over 4 oz i believe..
the fact something is illegal does not change the outcome...

From what i could tell someone could still rent a uhaul and load it with diesel and fertilizer and drive it throug a fuckin school!!!!
and you would be mad that they rent uhauls big enough to put 500 galons of diesel and 4000 pound of fertilizer.....
but if they only limited the size of the uhaul so many children would have been saved....sigh insert sarcasm
