explosion in boston

One of the female runners was killed in the explosion. Her boyfriend was waiting to propose to her at the finish line.. That's sad as hell.

Let's not make this shit political, right now it's a terrorist act and it could be domestic with all the homegrown fucks we have here. Right now is the time to pray for the injured and find out who did it.

This isn't a political issue. This is a people issue. I pray the victims and their family's find peace through what must be a hellish time.

I have a best friend on vaca with family in Boston. No word, I hope they are ok!!!

its just sad that stuff like this is still happening these days ..

Yep, and the grim reality is that it is probably not going to get better any time soon. Its kinda weird too, I did a lot of thinking over the weekend, and with everything going on in the world I decided to re-up for another 6 years and the next day this happens. I cant just sit back and watch all this shit go down. If I can do one thing in my entire military career to make sure one life is saved then it was worth it. I hope we catch these assholes

Thank You for Your Service

As I've always wished society would understand, it's not about gun control. Bombs, and even someone wielding a knife and wounding almost 20 people at a community college in Houston not long ago, are what reminds of the terrible disregard for life. Not to make it a political conversation but, in essence, it IS political. :motz:Governments like our own don’t do enough to pump real fear into the criminal minded. I do think all governments of the world that are willing to participate, should develop a world court. A court that’s specifically aimed at terrorism and promptly executing those found guilty of murdering innocent lives instead of putting them up for three meals a day and recreational time. I would love to see something like that in effect today, provided this recent appalling act wasn't committed by some home grown nut job. In that case we shouldn’t treat them with human dignity once found guilty of unspeakable acts within our borders. These crazy extremist attention seekers and religious radicals need to be under control. And fear of serious repercussions is in dire need. It breaks my heart as I am in other countries and the locals come telling me about atrocious events taking place in my home land… Like they've been doing litterally all day today. GOD be with those families of the victims. I do hope our government moves swiftly in determining the person(s) responsible. I would hope they’d be brought to justice, but seriously, our kind of justice doesn’t come near to fitting the crime IMO.

Political thoughts I disagree with.
I couldn't disagree with you more. Out of respect for the victims and their family's I will not say more here. However, if you would like to start another thread regarding your opinion, I would be happy to continue this discussion with you.

This is a criminal investigation first and foremost until proven otherwise. We as a country need to let the details sort themselves out before we start raning about politics, conspiracies, and terrorists.

First and foremost, it is a people issue. Can you imagine what it would be like to wake up yesterday, excited to watch a friend or loved one participate in the most iconic marathon in the world, then wake up today, in the hospital, missing a foot, or leg? My heart goes out to those people.

Did anyone else hear the interview with the Dr. that was standing next to the girl who had both of her legs blown off right below the knee? Absolutely tear jerking.

I agree, I'd be more than happy to debate how crazy that purple comment is.

hmmmm, kinda makes me wonder if they just put that out to take the pressure off while they find the REAL suspect. Seems almost too quick :dontknow:

You would be shocked to know just how much video surveillance a city like Boston has. It was only a matter of time before the ID'd whoever placed those bombs.

True but with that many people? How can they track a person down that fast just from an image? Cross referencing image patterns in local surveillance footage and PD databses? Nothing against you here bro, I just tend to question everything. :hmmmm2:
