HOW TO BUILD CREDIT---YOUNGER GUYS

The only contraction is in your ability to read. My earlier post said at my age I would not use credit to buy toys. My advice on building credit was not for toys but some folks here actually enjoy home ownership, cars to go to work in and even medical bills if necessary. Credit is valuable but like our trucks, need to be used wisely.
No problem, just consider the source-----north of the Mason Dixon line. Ha, they will probably have to Google “Mason Dixonâ€￾ to figure out what I mean. Had to read 15 times to figure out what I said just goes to prove my point. Nuff said. :D:D:D

Please explain how my ability to read is a contradiction?.... ..I said nothing about toys, I commented on your foolish attempt at building credit..and don't you get it ole boy this is the exact reason out country in in the condition its in....because fools wanted to give people 100x the credit than that they could afford....I moved out on my own at the age of 19...payed my bills on time and within a year was approved with out a co signer for 80k..it wasn't hard!!...You have to be a fool if your working and paying bill and can't get a loan for a house or car...Or your a slack jaw yoakel from down south!!

Not everybody thought it is foolish, but we all have our own opnion.

Ha, ha, we in the shape we in cause the way the damn Yankees keep voting for the communist bad guys that be sleeping with Wall Street and the evil bankers. If the evil bankers did not loan the 100K to the underserving then they would not have bad loans. Course, that is reasonable logic which most Yankees don’t have so let’s blame it on the consumer rather than those trusted to keep our money safe. Remember how Texas and the south vote and look at your “trustedâ€￾ politicians. That’s why business and especially the gun manufactures are moving to the south and Texas in particular, we know how to vote for the guys that protect the working man.

So sleep well but don't ask us "slack jaw yoakel from down south" to lend ya a gun when the bad guys are at yor door. hehehe

Just because a person is too stupid to realize they can't afford a 200k house working a McDonald's making 7.25 an hour does not make the bank evil for giving them the loan. It's the banks job to do what they can to make money, as an adult that wants to get somewhere in life it is YOUR responsibility to figure out what you can and can not afford. Further more just because you paid 200k for a house and then the value drops to 100k the next year does not give you the right to stop paying, you agreed to an amount the you're stuck paying for it. Shorty the last bit of that was not directed at you personally I just kinda went off in a rant.....mopar has a point about younger people needing to learn to live on what they can afford though, a lot of us have been there and done that I'm happy I was young dumb and lucky(so far) I bought my srt10 when I was 22 and the payment was higher than my HOUSE payment, not the smartest thing I've ever done but I've had tons of fun:D

Banks do give out $500 loans, but not nearly as often as Credit Unions. Shorty's credit building advice is actually good if you're disciplined enough to stick to the plan and not spend the money foolishly.

Not many around here that would stick to the plan.

National chain banks won't give loans under 2500, at least fifth third and hunnington in which my best friend works for...credit union will help get you approved for a credit card if its under 1500, not a loan..

^^+1
And this is all I was trying to say.

Why take the group in which the most credit is over due and give them a higher line??..statistically speaking over an entire age grouping of 18 to 25

Sorry, thought I was speaking to adults. Ya mean we got kids driving big bad machines? if they can't handle money wonder if we should trust them with a bad SRT-10?

Banking----crap, I did not deposit my hard earned money with a guy that can't pay his mortgage, I deposited it with a person that was supposed to be able to tell who could pay it back and who could not. If you as a dad give your truck keys to your 8 year old boy and he totals the truck----duh, who is to blame? Wake up, if the bank had said no then we would not have had the mortgage crisis we had. Just like our president, always blaming someone else for his mistakes.

Thanks for the attempt Shorty. I'm in no need of this advice but it's still always good to listen to wisdom. It is actually good advice for people who are responsible and disciplined enough to follow through. Meanwhile, Mopar is right on the money (no pun intended) about this advice giving the irresponsible a bigger shovel for digging a bigger hole for themselves. These days it's too easy to simply DODGE (still no pun intended) responsibility. The system apparently is about giving second or third or fourth chances. People run up their credit until the debt is busting at the seams, then throw in the proverbial bankruptcy towel thus, wiping their slates clean for what? Only to go and screw up again because eventually they will obtain credit, likely at a higher interest rate but *shrudge*. It teaches that responsibility isn't required and over rated. And banks WANT that. Not paying them won't break them. Banks already take our money and invest on their behalf. That's free money for their organizations. It's win, win for them no matter how the pie is sliced. The way I look at it; to each his own. Let the irresponsible deal with life and learn. IT'S LIVE AND LEARN FOLKS!! At the same time it's live and let live. But ultimately that bad credit accumulates and affects us all on one level or another. How'd that saying go?? You can lead a horse to water but... Well, :dontknow:you know.

Ummm your title said and I quote..how to build credit...younger guys...Its kind hard to follow you shorty have you had your meds today?

I'm a bit confused, can someone help me out? Which of you intelligent folks are blaming the borrower/consumer for their woes and which of you idiots are blaming the lenders/banks?

My blame is towards no one....my problem was with the half brained attempt on building credit!!!!..... sap-nin Chris?

You calling me intelligent???...really...getting kinda hard to be the idiot round here now a days :shot:....

hahaha, but ya use our oil.....and ya know, why all the guys that ruined their states coming down here looking for handouts? Low unemployment, great jobs and low taxes. But, ya gotta be able and willing to work for a living.

Another question, when logic is over their heads, why do Yankees always revert to what is closest to their heart---queers. Hmmmmm, kinda makes one wonder.

Quote of the day: "I have met a lot of young men and a lot of wise men, but no young wise men."

When a man lives thru 3 recessions rather than just living thru his first, he would seem more qualified to speak of the debt problem, tell then he is just babbling. Seems some can't understand if the banks had said not yes to the bad loans then there would not be this great housing problem. Remember, the bankers are the ones you trusted to keep your money safe. hahaha

But ya know, when all is said and done, I still love our truck and it's owners, yankee or not.

This is hilarious...Im from Tennessee..as is most of my family..equally funny how Texans think they live in a different country....Texas is part of the great ole USA last time I checked...instead of sitting here shaking your fist at the screen and calling me a yankee lol,you could be working on your brilliant plan to help todays youth get better credit scores!!!!
