On weekdays by the time I get off the town is a ghost town. I sometimes can drive from work to home without seeing another car. Driving home Thursday and I hear a rice burner, see headlights turn onto the highway behind me. Of course the next light is red guy pulls up next to me and he starts playing his tin can! I was like ok little buddy. Light turns we start to go I don't immediately get on it. He's staying at my door. We get to about 30-40 and I slam it down, chirp the tires and leave him. I go home with a smile, all fun and games.
Then last night happens....
Last night it's 1 AM, after work, I'm tired and ready to go home. I stop at the red light before my turn off of the highway. Some punk in a Tundra pulls up next to me and I see him and his douche buddy looking over and not the "check that out" look it was the "who does this guy think he is". So I know I'm gonna have to miss my turn haha... Light turns green and I go like normal and he's keeping even with me looking over so I give her a little more and he guns it, so when I notice he's inching ahead I floor it, pulling away from him I hit 80, there's a slow car in his lane, I have more than a few lengths on him I get on the brakes TO SLOW DOWN! Tundra douche(Whose name I changed to Thunder douche)is still on it moves over to the shoulder to pass the car, hits the curb or something and almost smashes my rear quarter. Homie don't play that... I jump back on it as he pulls even with me. I start running away, look down I'm well, well over the speed limit, he looks like he's standing still, just to prove my point I give it a little bit more and now he's a pair of headlights so I begin to slow down to turn around and thunder douche will not come close to me, I wanted to flip him off for almost nailing me, I literally went down to 20 under the speed limit and he never got closer. I was pissed
I was madder than the ghost of Elvis Presley watching Michael Jackson make love to his daughter. Had that been a track or we pulled into the same parking lot I would have probably went bezerk. He was a few inches from buying me a new truck. I like to think there is common decency and common sense when it comes to light to light runs. If there is traffic in the way, you stop. If one person is more than a few lengths in front of you and he gets on the brakes you stop. I know speeding is frowned upon by some people, running on public streets even more. Most if not all of us are guilty of doing it though, it's just the nature of the beast when driving high performance trucks and cars. Someone is always going to think it's all show and no go. This douche though had my blood boiling and it still is

Needed to vent....
