So 'Ive spent some time trying to find this out. If I delete my rear cats only, do I have to get it retuned? I have stock manifolds and exhaust with the MagnaFlow cat back rear section. Seems like a split on a tune is required.

I ran rear cat delete on stock tune for a LONG time, no issues. I would do a hard reset tho, that way any adaptive programs can relearn, but thats just me. It probably wouldnt even matter really. It WILL sound a helluva lot better

Ok, thanks for the input. I like the sound now, but just want a little more at idle and lowering rpms.

Yeah, i did a rear cat delete and resonator delete. Sounds decent, but i also want some more low end sound as well. Still running stock muffler for now. Om trying to figure out what mufflers i should run that are both cheep, yet sound good.

Do you have a video of how she sounds. I've been debating on what to do with my exhaust, I love the way it sounds stock just wish it was louder and figured a rear cat delete/res delete would be exactly what I'm looking for.

Ill get a sound clip up today

I'm running catless mids with stock manifolds and oe exhaust and sounds like a Viper should now.......

Finally getting back to this and have decieded to remove the rear cats.
The front pipes are 2.5 inch?
Want to purchase a length of thick wall (better than the thin crap the auto parts stores carry) exhaust pipe. And trying to get my buddy to let me use his lift and lend a hand.

Your best bet is to remove the rear cats and the stock muffler, leave the reso on. The resonator takes care of all the Hwy drone. The stock muffler is a huge pile of crap.

04's did not come with a resonator and I have the MagnaFlow cat back.
(just like Mopar-no-car posted:top:)

oops, fail on my part. Sometimes I miss stuff trying to read threads on a blackberry.

I love the way my 04 sounds with the OE exhaust with JMB catless mids..........

I can't go totally catless, we have to many of the random roadside highway safety inspections, where they make everyone pull thru and inspect your vehicle.
