Went to the Mopar Spring Round-up and took first for Modified Full size truck. There was a stock 05 RC with only 24000 miles on it and it was for sale, never seen the owner. Great day of showing and sharing information. and a nice sun burn.

I went to a local show yesterday and got nothing but a white PT Cruiser did, judging was a joke.........Most judges still do not have a clue what this truck really is, I had one person ask if it was hard putting the motor in, and how I got it to fit, WTF..........

Best thing to do is tell them that auto zone sells the entire conversion kit with motor fo $25k. Let em drool and walk away LOL

^^haha^^. That would be a good one to use. There are definitely still sooooo many people who just dont have a clue what this truck is or that it is any different then any other ram pickup. It really boggles my mind when i tell someone at an auto parts counter that i have an 05 dodge ram srt 10, and they ask me what motor is in it. "Is it the 4.7 or is it the hemi?" I should have just walked away right then. I feel like there are even so many ram owners that dont know this truck is any different then theres.

LMFAO!!!!!!! That's awesome:rock::D

I almost ALWAYS have someone ask me why I put a Viper motor in my ram at shows. People are clueless. When I tell them I put it in there in my backyard with basic hand tools they are even more blown away. Its to the point where I dont even try to school people on the truck, I mean even with my showboard that has the history of the truck right in front of them, they STILL ask how difficult the install was.

The issue at hand at the show is ILLITERACY :D

Lack of knowledge from fellow so called enthusiasts is overwhelming, & this comes from many many MOPAR people! I hear time after time didnt know Dodge built a truck like that, one guy even spent a good 20 mins looking truck over top to bottom & still asked why I chose a Viper motor to put in it? I told him seemd like a good idea & left it at that. Amazing...

Lol. That is to funny.

It would be hilarious to take pictures of these fools who ask the stupid questions and post them up with the comments! ROFL :chain:

It should be illegal to start a car show thread with no pictures.
No camera at show, sorry, but looks like this thread went else where.

Not at shows but I have had many people ask if it has a HEMI. I say no a Viper motor. They ask again not a HEMI?

My usual response was I got this because I couldn't afford the HEMI. That usually made them happy with the answer and I guess they felt bad for me because I had to settle for the Viper engine.

:D
