Buy it. 05's are a bit quicker with the 4.56 gears and they have better brakes too. Only bad thing about 05 is insurance is way higher than 04 because in 04 SRT was a trim package and it comes up as Ram 1500 when they run the vin. For 05 it became it's own separate model. I was quoted 330 a month for an 05 and 124 for an 04. If your 25 it won't be a big issue but if your under 25 it will be a big issue and I suggest you look at insurance first. Not trying to rain on your parade at all man I hope this truck works perfect for you! Good luck!

Get it dont wait any longer. They dont make the trucks anymore so thats a plus. I bought mine just cuz of how rare they are and how rare they are gona be later on.

Thanks for all the inputs guys. Financing is all set and I've actually got the insurance quotes for all three years, so I'm good there....good looking out.

Well barring any unforeseen circumstances.....she's mine.
Now the decision to fly from New Orleans to Maryland to get it or have it shipped. The cost looks like it will be about the same.
I'm soooo stoked right now. I've been shopping for almost a year now and I ended up with what I feel was a good deal plus I got the exact year and color (minus the CE) that I wanted.

I was quoted under 1k to ship my truck from Tennessee to Texas. It was in the low 800's IIRC. The road trip would be fun, I've done several in mine, but honestly I'd look to just get it shipped if the price is about the same. Driving you'd be out a plane ticket plus gas and meals and possibly hotel depending if you stop for a rest. Gas starts to add up quick. But if you do drive and come near Clarksville, TN my couch has your name on it if you need a rest.

Go get it and drive it home.... just miles of smiles in front of you
