Just wonder why this "Club" doesnt have regional presidents and VP's that arrange GTG's to make sure we are active and grow. Im sure we would have NO problems getting our own class at most shows and also Ive seen a few 10's in my area that probably dont even know we exist.

My Mopar club (DSM) has all the traditional leadership roles of a club and theres a GTG almost every single week with new members signing up left and right. I know theres just not enough SRT 10s out there (that we know of) to warrant a chain of command at the moment, but we already have our regions right? I think that if one or a few people could take charge of their respective region and do a little recruiting we would have a lot more active members and could meet up and represent at shows a LOT more.

Im only saying this because we are a "CLUB"... If it were the Viper Truck Forums of America I wouldnt even say anything.
 
We do have regional reps who frequently set up GTGs, or at least try to. I have had 3 GTGs for the northeast so far this year. The first one was a cars and coffee meet in the Lehigh Valley which resulted in 3 SRT-10s mine included, SRT10Ralph and SRT2slow. The second meet was a test and tune at Atco, which resulted in 2 trucks mine included and SRT2slow. The third meet I set up was a cruise to Hawk's Nest, NY, guess how many trucks showed up. 1, that was me. I try and will continue to try to get people out and spread the word for the SRT-10, as long as I still own it. However it is difficult to get people out when they just don't want to.
 
Well, that is my end goal and why i set up the regions this year. We've probably had more GTG's this year than we have had in the past 3 years. The biggest problem with getting to that full clubs status the Viper Truck community is so fractured I don't think that it can ever be repaired. People have there little groups, factions and cliques. As long as those exist... not a chance.

We have two local clubs were I'm at. Mopars of Utah and SLCLX. Both work well with each other and coordinate their efforts.... To the Betterment of MOPAR

The viper Truck Community is just the oppisite in every way. They find reasons to build separation, mis trust, hatred and contempt. It's up to the community to decide what they really want, my guess, they love the separation, mis trust, hatred and contempt so much, why build when destruction is far easier

Hit the nail there. I enjoy going to shows and representing the club, Ive had quite a few people ask about the VTCOA sticker on my back window. I guess for some people its just more of a place to hangout and talk online, like a car guys version of facebook. Anyway, Im gonna do some recruiting in my area and get some more local members and start planning meets. If that makes me a Rep then ok, if not thats fine too, Id really just like to see more of these awesome machines out at the shows.

I see what you mean. But if you get an entire new wave of members who arent part of any of the existing drama, like myself, who are just in it for the love of the truck, theres still a chance. I know they are out there too I see 10's all the time that Im sure have never even heard about us. There's definitely potential for this to materialize into a functioning Club full of Mopar fans who dont get caught up in all the BS.

The drama is like a cancer......

There is always someone on this board (or others) that makes sure everyone knows what the drama is and who to blame.

I have met some other 10 owners that are off of the forum that don't care to join. I'm not into the show thing, I like a rolling GTG if you know what I mean. :D I do a lot to try and raise awareness for the VTCoA, but the focus is limited. I think a good way for us to expand would be to post up GTGs through other channels, i.e. facebook, other enthusiast forums, etc. This way we could get the attention of other people that don't know much about our trucks and possibly get another fan of these beasts. :rock:
 
I wholeheartedly agree, there are only a select few in any group that will get involved & actually participate. I live in Denver metro area & I know there are several 10s in the area, not surprisingly dont know of VTCOA or appreciate the uniqueness of tgettin together to BS or whatever just doesnt seem to be of any priority. Example, had GTG at Bandimere June 2 on Mega Mopar Day, 1 other truck showed up, fellow named Steve with a silver RC, ran 14.2. 2 other friends showed up, Tony & Steve(BlkMamba50) 1 other guy who just bought a10 inquired about the club & I gave him some info..
 
So is there not a fb page for this site yet? I could create a nice one in no time. And yes GTGs are more fun than shows i agree.

I had one up for 2 years, just got tired of posting with no replies, so it's now unpublished. I'm surely not the best messenger, maybe you'll have better luck

I wish that i had gotten my truck earlier and new about this club earlier, because i probably would have been able to make the lehigh and atco meets. Im just outside of philly near willow grove. Id love to meet some other vtcoa and just srt owners. Do you know of and mopar groups around?

I am unaware of any other local Mopar groups. I will do Atco at least one more time this year and they have been doing several cars and coffee Lehigh Valley meets. If you have Facebook there is a page for Cars and Coffee Lehigh Valley and they are constantly updating it with new meets. If you see it, post it up and we will see what we can get together. Hopefully more than 3 trucks. :D
 
If any events pop up down in my area I'd love to hit em up. Would just love being around other owners and shootin the sh!t.
