Been noticing this for a few weeks, at part throttle maybe 1/4-1/3 there seems to be a surging that i'm feeling. The best way I can describe it is as if you were in a low gear(1st or 2nd) and were pushing up and down on the gas causing it to jerk forward and back, that's how it feels, I almost thought it was the clutch the way it feels. I was thinking maybe TPS or IAC(cleaned when I had my intake off in April) idle is right at 750 and once in a while it may hang at 1200-1500 but only for 5 sec or less:confused::dontknow:.Thanks as usual.....

Start with a visual look at hoses for leaks. Check all things you've removed/replaced. Spark plug wires? Any check engine light ? O2 sensor could cause miss too. If its been awhile TPS sensor should be done but look around at obvious before spending dough :)

Wires are new, no CEL, its not really a miss more of a surge. I read some posts that say thats a characteristic of the single blade TB's sometimes, she pulls hard through 6,000 its just at one spot where I feel it and not all the time......

Funny you should mention this, Mine started doing the same thing this week. A noticeable subtle kind of hang up before idle and sort of on and off surge. I was wondering if recently removing inlet had something to do with it or throttle body hang up:dontknow::dontknow: Im going to check inlet bolts this weekend although if she was taking in air I think it would rev high? I retuned it too which seemed to work for a day:dontknow::dontknow: I don't want to Ho up your post mate but let me know how you get on, and I will reciprocate.

You got it man, all hoses are on and TB bolts tight, if I get time tomorrow I'm gonna check the intake bolts just to be sure. Then maybe a new TPS and see what happens. It's very slight and if I cant narrow it down I will not bother as it runs like a beast!!!!!

Will do, should I get OEM or aftermarket??? Does it matter??

OK, Autozone has them in stock for $23..............

I had the exact same problem with one of my other trucks, (not SRT10, but a Dodge Ram) and it was the TPS, Highly noticeable with the cruise control set. Easy fix!

From what I gather it's a wide spread problem across almost all of the big Dodge vehicles during that time Dakota/Ram/Durango

Yea, I researched it a lot also, I had just bought the truck (in '08), and thought the transmission was going out..but I started with the cheap easy possibilities first. TPS was my first try, and maybe I was just fortunate, but it solved my problem.

Just installed the new TPS and all "seems" OK, just hoping its not the "placebo" effect that because its new its OK. We will see over some miles but my road test was promising....

Still fixed the problem?? My truck does the same thing... not enough for me to really care but if TPS solves it then I will replace as well. I have 41k original on mine.
