Got to the dyno today and finished up two srt4's that made some good #'s, both red ACR's in St. Louis area. Dyno reads about 2-3psi high on boost compared to logged map on both cars, both made about 30psi peak. Pretty solid #'s for a 146ci. on cheap fuels IMO.

Michaels is a JMB 2.4L built with ported head/cams, T04Z 67MM on 93 pump gas/water injection

How much is a build like that? Be interesting to see what it cost to make that amount of power compaired too our trucks

These cars are beasts! Used to have a tough time with these and Mitsubishi Evos back in my Trans Am days. Neons fwd makes them a biatch to control. Wishes they'd been AWD or RWD like the old Chrysler Conquest/Mitsubishi Starions. :chain:
Great job JMB:rock:

Thanks!!!

any videos of these lil beasts ... bet they are a blast to drive..

No sorry, they are fun to drive for sure but you have to tone it down to about 450-500whp to go anywhere on the street.

i agree:rock::rock::rock:

these are street/DD???

The Pump gas car that I posted engine comp pics is his daily, it has 130K+ miles on it. The other has near 90K and is his weekend toy. They both could very easily be daily driven, they are sluggish in low RPM because of the big turbos and cams, but if you keep it revved up to 3K+ driving around its very responsive.

The one in the pics has around $15K in it, thats all parts/labor, gauges, powdercoating, etc. etc. To just make the power, the E85 setup is the cheaper route over pump gas and you would be around $10-12K. You can make a pretty reliable 450whp setup which is a LOT in one of these cars (2900#) for around $5-6K. Thats about the limit of the stock motor, some have certainly gone way past that for a while, some break at 250whp. Tune is key on these for sure.
