Since I bought Jeep GC door handles last spring and color matched them to the 10, I picked up a smooth finish tailgate handle and will be paint it to match as well as the antenna base.

just curious, do you have to re-key the lock? OR can you take it apart and use the lock the truck came with?

the lock cylinder in the handle is removable, just remove the 2 screws that hold it in the stock handle and install in the replacement handle, its a piece of cake

Wife picked her Jeep up from my dads shop today and my tailgate handle and antenna base as well. All silver and shiny now.

Looks awesome!!

Looks good, post up pics when you can! I'm very interested in doing this to my truck. Got a link for that tailgate handle?

since my garage door gasket is frozen to the floor I'm not able to open the damn door to get access to the tailgate to put the handle on, was only able to put the antenna base back together.:(

Can't wait to see it all together. I'm doing the same thing, I just have a couple extra doors and I'm installing the electric lock for my tailgate .
Looking forward to seeing how it all came out so post 'em when you can. Obviously with the VTCoA sticker too :)

Looks great, and thanks for the link to the tailgate. How did you remove the antenna base?

Leaving the antenna mast on, see the chrome ring with the notches in it. carefully unscrew that. I wrapped masking tape around it then used one of those rubber grip pads used to open jars with pliers to lose it. once the ring is off slide it up off the antenna then the plastic base piece. I left the antenna mast on so the actual antenna base did not fall into to the fender.

You need a nice billet antenna now!!!!!!!!!

They make an antenna removal tool that makes it easer

Cool, thanks!

Since it was in the 40's here today I changed the oil in my Grand Caravan and wifes Liberty. And got the tail gate handles swapped out on my 10. It fit just the same as the factroy and works perfectly. Check it out.
