I'm going to install belanger long tubes with high flow cats and was wondering if anybody else had done this with a stock exhaust and if so, how much did it change the sound and tone? Im open for any tips/advice for puttin them on too..

I did catless mids with the OE exhaust and it was an incredible improvement, with headers and hi flows not sure but better than 4 cats for sure....

Hello Greg,

I have exactly the same setup. Belanger headers with high flow cat's and stock catback.
It was a good improvement of the sound.
Now it sounds like a powerfull competition boat when idling and aggressive raspy when driving it gently and roaring when going all the way.
There is some resonating sound in the cabin (i have a QC) at 2000 and 2750 rpm. Since i drive it at 2500 or above 3000 rpm there is no problem. It might not occur in a RC.
At 3400 rpm it kicks you in the butt and keeps bruising until the red zone.
I love the sound and since it is my daily driver it doesn't have to get louder then that.
I prefer headache from to much beers above headache from noise.

lol, i know what your saying. I appreciate the feedback. Thats exactly what i was wanting to know. Ive not done much research on how the stock muffler flows compared to the top brands but most OEM mufflers flow with the best of them, they just dont have the bark. Im anxious to get back to the track this year with new rubber (and these headers) and see what a difference it makes. All i need is a tuner and ill be set.
