That's old school for a cylinder miss firing. Code 305 and the truck felt like a Mustang. Slow and missing real bad. Called the good doctor and he diagnosed on the phone. Most likely a plug, plug wire and possibly a lifter spring or coil. Ruled out the lifter spring as there was zero lifter noise and I had to drive it 75 miles to the house so if it was a lifter more than likely it would have given me an excuse to do a total re-build. Changed out the plug on number 5 hole and presto-----cleaned up the problem completely. I will let the good doctor finish replacing the other plugs as he installs the cutouts next week. Yep, I could change them myself but I do support our vendors and sides, I get too darn frustrated when working on the truck/scars anymore.
All's well that ends well.:rock::rock:
