I learned a lot the last few days using the search function. Every problem I have seen with these trucks has been covered in detail.

The search tool blows. I recommend starting a thread about your questions and problems. You will be promptly butt fncked

Can we make a new rule. If you join and ask a question that has more than one thread answering it that you are then banned for life?

Who will we pick on if not newbies asking the same questions over and over? :D

If the search function is so amazing, I challenge you to use it to find the thread where Dr. Viper installed his plug wires wrong. :D I know the thread is out there, but using search, it is difficult to find.

CHALLENGE ACCEP......I'm going on vacation soon and really don't feel like doing work today, challenge declined.

for a long time the search didnt work correctly along with several other pages at least for me. probably like a year i see it just recently got fixed. if i used search i got a php error page. same if i tried viewing likes to my posts, or if i clicked active threads, and a couple other pages. so i would of probably started a new post if i had a question but i already knew better part of reason i just dont post here very much.

If everyone got their questions/problems solved by hitting the search button, all the experts wouldn't have anything to do. Boring.

Do you mean experts or "experts"? :D

The problem with the "use the search" in my experience over on the GTO forum is guys who have been around forever with the vehicle and the forum(s) say use the search we covered this elevendy brown times. The new guys essentially can not contribute because its all been answered and done before. So why become a member?

There is a happy medium. I as a new guy am using the hell out of the search and then post based on my further questions or just necro thread, which is frowned on in many forums, to get an answer. I'll say that the search feature here is not the best.

For instance I am looking for information on various first mods and of course CAI comes to that list. So I' searching for "CAI" and you get a bunch of crap to sort through to find what you are looking for. I'm sure part of it is the search results are giving me every post that mentions CAI. I am also sure I'm not effectively using the search. BUT I'm still having a hell of time finding information I need.

Again a happy medium.

I think some new guys come in and post stuff that's clear they have done ZERO research anywhere and just want guys to come in and give them all the information. That's a problem and that guy needs his dick slapped. I think all of it is how you present your question.

These guys are a lot nicer than the guys over at ls1gto. You can have typo's without being outcast, and everyone here genuinely tries to help. Just give your best effort on searching and ask questions. Most of us try to help.

The GTO guys hate so much stuff. OBX...HATE. Anything not an OTR CAI...HATE. Non conforming...HATE. I was told I could NOT fit my Vibrant 1141 ultraquiet resonators in the 04 location with a custom made X pipe. Well I did it...still the hate flowed like a Sith lord.

I'm happy to be on a forum with way less hate.

I actually agree with this completely. I'm a member on probably 50+ forums (never actually counted). This is the only one where I log on daily, multiple times daily, every hour, every minute.... OK, so I have a problem, but don't we all? :D I digress, anyone that has a sense of humor, a grasp of sarcasm, a love for horsepower, and doesn't take themselves too seriously, will probably find this is a great place.

Lastly, I joined this forum in 2011, half a decade after the last SRT10 rolled off the line. Since then, I've participated in several great threads that were started by new people who asked typical new people questions. And I, for one, would rather have a busy forum with lots of newb questions, than have one with no traffic at all.
