Any of you guys in Midland? I'll be there this evening and have a little extra time.

Got 15 rental trailers there but will not be out till next week. Sorry to miss ya, would really like to have met up. Maybe another time. What the heck ya doing in Midland?
Thinking about starting a logging company. I heard I would be the only one in the area![]()
I'm back in Colorado now. Chavez, I didn't pass through Dumas. Shorty, I don't smoke anything except tires. 06SRT10, are you always this negative?![]()
Not negative. I'm from Texas & if you want trees you go to East Texas. not Midland.
Now, if you are into oil/gas, Midland is your place. I'm from around Amarillo, where it's too hot in the summer time, too cold in the winter time & the wind blows all the time.

Mother from Wheeler, I was born there. Dad from Plainview. Have lived in those towns plus Dumas (Ding Dong Daddy from Dumas), Lubbock (Home of Buddy Holly) Fritch, Borger (Borger by day, Burger by night) graduated high school in Borger. My dad work the oil fields, so we moved around A Lot. All of my relatives still live in Texas. We will be in Borger, Dallas & Houston next year to visit some of them. Do you know Rick (PhxPoolGuy)? He said he also has relatives in Dumas.
Back to New Mexico???? lol At least his wife is OK, she's from Texas.
I was giving you a hard time ;-) The whole logging company thing was a joke. Semi-interestingly, I do have family in Amarillo.
I'll tell ya, Shorty, it's easy to see how anyone with some work ethic and who is willing to take a little risk, could make a small fortune out there. My problem is that I can't live somewhere that I can't even find North. Lol. I was lost the whole time. Even at night, because of all the dust, I coulnt use the stars for reference. It drove me crazy.Grew up in Odessa, unless your family is in oil or ranching they would have left a long time ago. :dontknow: As soon as possible I got out of the heat and wind for beautiful East Texas where they got water and trees.
Do go back occasionally but only to get $'s. All my family left a long time ago for greener pastures.Sincerely would like to meet up if you are ever going back for a visit. All the old watering holes I ghosted are gone but would love to buy you a steak dinner. Or an enchilada.

Caveman, when you were in Amarillo did you go to the Big Texan & have their free 72 oz. steak?? Tried it twice & ended up having to pay for it both times because I couldn't finish it.

My family in Happy is still there & isn't in oil and gas. I am in manufacturing and was in Midland hoping to buy a competitors business, but was unable to put
a deal together.
Haven't eaten at the Big Texan in a long time, and I never have tried the 72oz "freebie". I think I could have done it 10 years ago, but I'm too old for such shenanigans now. Lol
If the deal should resurface and you go back or just for a visit please let me know. I have to be out there once a month and can make it anytime I like. Be nice to meet up with someone other than Scott LOL
