Wondering who everyone uses for insurance since the values have such a big spread, do you have a declared value, appraisal or just hope that they give you enough if something happens

USAA. I just called them and told them I had an estimated $5k in extras on the truck. Premium went up $11/m. Just to make sure they are covered if stolen/wrecked.

I have statefarm. My truck is fully covered no matter what it is that is in it at the time of collision or theft. Just as long as I have pictures and receipts to prove it.

My Dad is an Army veteran and I am waiting for him to sign up for USAA so I can too.

I carry no individual insurance on my vehicles. I carry enough liability insurance to cover all my property to protect myself and family.

For those that drive less frequently, Hagerty now offers coverage for non-modified 10s, with agreed value instead of whatever your local insurance companies think it's worth
Coverages do have to be the same as your regular vehicles though, 50/100/50, or whatever

What's non modified mean?

Ours are all street legal. Stock and street legal are world's apart.

True, but I'm referring to anything that wouldn't be considered an off road vehicle which would require a special kind of insurance.

Well I was trying to focus on how he stated they'd insure ours in stock form. ....... trying to define what their idea of modified may be. CAI may be enough to deny coverage as a mod.

Oh oh got ya. Yeah you're right. Just like you can get your warranty revoked for "mechanical failure" due to vehicle modification with an aftermarket exhaust.

For the record.. I have GEICO and it's less than $230 per 6 months. Full coverage.
But what will they pay you if it's totalled. This insurance is for an agreed amount set by the owner and insurance company I believe.

Well I do know the Gecko will give you 6k if your wheels get stolen.

The main issue with our trucks is this, since they arent made anymore the parts dont really exist making them almost impossible to repair as they get older.

Just switched to USAA and the agent told me that if I kept the receipts on any mods and informed the adjuster that I would be fully covered. Got his home address just in case he is less than honest just to sell a policy. :D
