weeeeeeeelp.. all of a sudden ive noticed that little by little i kept loosing "pedal stiffness" it got to the point where the pedal sunk all the way down and i was shifting by rev matching and hoping i didnt get a red light. It has a brand new clutch and Master. only thing it can be is the slave, right? I checked the bell housing and there is some oil residue and the bleeding nipple is way wobbly and dancing around (maybe the bleeding tube just got loose and need re tighten?)Yes i know, "thats why you need to change your slave when you do your clutch", Ive learned my lesson ha.
Any who, im looking at either go with another OEM or a Gen 2 slave. what all is required to adapt a Gen 2? or does it bolt right on, plug and play?

wait.. just got on RoeRacing and it explains that i need a spacer/shim kit AND master for a gen 2 slave. practically a complete conversion.

You'll have to change master as well if you do viper Slave. O
Put fluid in reservoir and see if it drips off bellhousing. Bleeder will move around, not abnormal. Ensure bleeder is closed. Sound like master has air in it. Try bleeding master.

The master was low and filled it back up, twice. no oil puddle, just oil residue in the bell housing. I had a shop bleed the line (non vacuum bleed) and got my pedal stiffness back up as normal. but this morning, with a few steps, i lost some stiffness again. Also, the pedal felt "sticky" and not as smooth. another note, the little rubber seal in the master looked kinda deformed. I'll see if i can take a pic of it later.

Yeah with master or slave is crapping out. Master will usually leak internally or into cab floorboard. Slave will leave a puddle underneath bellhousing with obvious drips hanging from bellhousing.

damn.. im doubting its the master. it only has 4k miles! its gotta be the slave, but i havent seen any oil puddles. I do believe its the original slave with 97k miles on it, im sure its due.

If it's not leaking there it is fine.our slaves are pretty damn good. If your resevoir was empty at one time for whatever reason, there's air in your master and that's your issue. Disconnect line at quick release under truck. Using hand, press on clutch pedal. Is it stiff? Does it go down a lot? Does it go to floor?

last time it went to straight to the floor and i replaced the master. Im gonna have to do that procedure again soon as i get home.. IF i make it home, i brought a bottle of DOT 3 just in case lol

Disconnected the line and its stiff as hell. It dont even move.

It should need a new slave. Mine leaked for a long time before I seen fluid leaking from the bell houseing. The clutch worked fine but the fluid just kept dropping until it ran out & got air bound.

I see... im gonna go ahead and order a slave, then Ill have all new hydraulics. Thanks guys
