I know that 154 and change set the speed record for our trucks. I was wondering if anyone has gone about improving on it. Anyone have any input on getting one of the trucks up to 200 plus.

I don't even think terminal velocity of our trucks dropped from a plane would reach 200. Dom's truck is prolly the closest possibility with enough pavement ahead of him.

i've actually been wondering the same. Who's beaten the Record Top Speed?

157, twice. That was my 06 RC with pretty much every bolt on possible, otherwise stock internals. I really don't think she had anymore in her, still had about 200 rpms to go (4:56's) before I hit the stock rev limiter (I believe that is at 6,050) but wind resistance was too much. Your only real option of getting up around 170, you would need 4:10's and internal modifications done. I'm guessing around 600whp might get you there. 200mph.... thinking probably not.

On another note, my 04 still has the 4:10's. I was debating leaving them in there and making it up in the HP department but after only driving this truck a short while I'm already thinking I may need to swap them out for 4:56's. This thing is a dud out of the hole with stock size tires and wheels. The first SRT Ram I ever drove was an 04 and I didn't remember there being such a difference when I got my 06, but now going back to 4:10's this thing feels horribly slow. My butt Dyno tells me I'm down about 40-50 HP. Lol! :D

192 in a standing mile, changing 5th and 6th gear was key. Tape all of your body seems above 180, and ditch the wing. I think mine would do 200 with enough road.

Hello,

i had 167 mph (GPS measured) with my SRT10 QC on the German Autobahn where we dont have Speed Limits.

It took quit a while to come up to that speed but i kept it constant until my trans temperature went up too high.....:D

We have two other SRT10, 1 RC with 24" and another QC hitting the same Speed.

With my new Setup of a fully NA built engine i will try at least to hit 170 mph or even more....

We will see

I am not for a second saying it would be easy.

Drag Coefficient : 0.43

Frontal Area : 34.6 sq ft

Weight 5100

But 6 th gear is .50 a set of 4.10 for the rear. Then there would just be the small matter of a 1200+ hp twin turbo engine. Maybe just maybe it would be possible.

There was a member building a truck specifically for the 200mph mark but apparently he lost interest in it.

What kind of power are you making to hit those speeds?

Around a 1000.

.5 is to tall your going to have to change it, if not you will repeatedly break input shafts. You end up with awesome clutch alignment tools but it gets old fast. Your next issue is tires, you not going to find anything properly rated for our combination of weight and speed.

I see we use the same clutch alignment tool, lol.

I certainly do not remember mentioning this to you Andy. Get out of my head please! :D

I was thinking Dom already had the record....and in just 1/4 mile (183....awesome!).

i can tell you that a stock 05 RC hits the rev limiter at 164 in 5th and i let off early at 198 on a 200mph dyno...

getting power to make that run on the street, i'd say a minimum of 1500...

So I would need north of 1500 hp, a regeared trans, and tires that are as common as unicorns.
