05 QC engine ? Then it should be the hole to tighten the bolts for the flexplate.

Agree with this. I have an 05 QC and that's what I was told by a few of the vendors

Damn, he beat me to it! Went during my lunch break and crawled under the truck and took a couple pics. Even though seethrough's pic is nicer, I'm gonna post mine so it wasn't a waste.:rofl:

Noticed a little oil coming out of mine. Might need a new one.

Check your valve cover bolts. Mine looked like that and when I checked the bolts, 75 percent of them were loose on both covers

I would definitely check out the back of the valve covers before pulling the transmission for a rear main seal.

I will definitely check those bolts first as that is something I can actually do myself. From the picture, and from what I saw, it does seem to be coming from the back of the valve cover. Hopefully that's the same oil that is all the way down under the tranny, on that bottom cover.

Yeah, mine stopped making all of that mess after I changed the valve cover gaskets and tightened those bolts. I was shocked that a couple were less than finger tight.
