So it seems it’s a tighter set up and helps with launching the truck quicker .. is that noticeable .. more or faster power to the rear wheels on launch or acceleration ?.?

I’ve never been satisfied with the feel of power from a dead stand still .. seems to me it has no real snap acceleration when you hit the throttle .. nothing like the old day cars .. when you snapped the throttle you could feel a quick jump of the vehicle ..

Tighter, not so loose but not sure about faster power. Just less like a "toy" that someone remembered it needed a drive train.

Actually I get that quick jump of the truck when cursing at say 30 and lower the boom. Much more violent than a stand still launch. Down shifting with an open throttle is the best feeling of the "old" muscle cars to me. If I am not careful and the surface is not great my truck will start sliding to the right. Opening the throttle at 30 will always break the tires loose.

I know what your mean with the kick while moving and the tries breaking loose ,,, after market valvebody and shift kit defiantly chirp the tires on shift .. when wet they can break loose real easy ..
I just don’t understand why the launch doesn’t rev up like the 30 mph kick . I mean with the tongue these trucks have they should blast of and rev fast from a stand still .. 4.56 gears are meant for the low end rev .
I would think eliminating the coupler and having a one piece shat would put power back to the rear wheels better

Most likely does put power back to the rear wheels but 5600 pounds is a lot to make jump off the line. Add my 275 and you got a lot to launch.
