    All,

I tried doing a search for this question but couldn't find anything on it.

I am the 3rd owner of a newly purchased black 04 RC. I do not have either "Viper Powered" emblem on the front hood. Does this *absolutely* mean that my truck (at least the hood) was repainted at some point? The dealer made no mention of it, but the paint looks awfully good (almost too good really) to be 16 years old. I am asking because I did not know if there was a delete option to not include the decals from the factory. Admittedly, I'm reaching a bit there hoping it wasn't repainted.

    Thanks in advance.

What climate are you in..the decals are hard hit buy the sun and so crack and fade.. possible they were removed.
BUT if the surrounding paint is mint, its suspect as if the emblems were so badly burnt warranting removal the paint would possible be faded too. These trucks had notoriously thin paint from the factory.
Oh and to add insult to injury the decals have been long been discontinued and are basically unicorns. They do make replicas but they are not 100% identical.

Try The Viper Store, they are replicas, but look almost identical to the real thing.

Welcome to the RBC all the way from the centennial state. Now with your hood the answer is No they did not delete the hood emblems some one de badged it. I had an OEM hood decals that were NOS but sold to a member in the club. You can install an after market ones that is about it.

Do you happen to know how many inches behind the scoop opening, the decals should be placed?

Yes, same here. Can someone post a close up of the "Viper Powered" Decals on their hood with a ruler or tape measure showing at least the measurement from the "D" at the end of POWERED to the back edge of the hood closest to the windshield?

I have to put new badges on my hood this week and havent been able to find this info anywhere...just this thread.

    Hopefully someone can help, thanks!

I just reached out to a place, and if I hear from them, I'll let you know.

I can get the measurements I just can’t post to the thread. I could take pics and email them. I have an original hood and decals.
