    Hi
I looking for shocks upgrades as one of the shocks is leaking.

does any one tried the Jtsvp non adjustable shocks regular cab ?

What do you recommend ? I’m looking also to improve handling

For stock height I recommend and you really can’t beat the stock Bilstein shocks. For the comfort and price(roughly $350-$400 all 4, not including the kicker shock) best bang for your buck. If money is not an issue than you have more options : JTSVP/JRI, Viking shocks, QA1 shocks all 3 can be non/single/double adjustable. Also depends on stock height or lowered.

Also, me personally I haven’t tried or rode in a truck with JTSVP/JRI shocks. I can only comment on the Bilstein shocks(when my truck was stock height), Belltech SP Shocks (when I first lowered my truck), and Viking Double Adjustable Shocks(the shocks that I currently have now).

Did the vikings make a big difference in handling?

It definitely complemented my other suspension mods nicely. The biggest thing is you can adjust your compression and rebound to your liking.

I was thinking about the Bilstein but they discounted it. I contacted Bilstein if they have an alternative but that was there reply
“Unfortunately we do not make anything for your 2005, Dodge, Ram, 1500, SRT-10, nor do we have any alternative.”

I heard that you can use the 2wd shock on the srt-10 but I’m not sure

Sometimes they discontinue the part numbers but they have cross reference part numbers. Here are the part numbers for the front Bilstein shocks 24069274 and the rear Bilstein shocks 24025508. The only one I couldn’t find was the cross reference part number was for the kicker shock. But here is the stock part number 5290831AA, but as you know is discontinued. Hope this helps you.

What do you mean by this: I heard that you can use the 2wd shock on the srt-10 but I’m not sure? All srt10s are 2wd.

I mean that they don’t recommend to use the 2wd shocks on the srt-10 as they are tuned different but I’m not sure about that. I couldn’t find some one fixed the 2wd shocks on the srt-10 and commented about the ride and handling if it was changed or not

-JTSVP/JRI shocks say on their website that they’re made specifically for the srt10. Can’t say yes or no and can’t comment on how good or bad the ride is
-QA1 shocks are not srt10 specific, a couple members have them on their srt10s and like them. Can’t comment on how good or bad the ride is
-Viking shocks are not srt10 specific, don’t know if any other members have them. But so far I really like them and am very pleased(I really like the fact that you can adjust how hard or soft you want your suspension to be with a couple of clicks). Definitely complemented the rest of my suspension mods.
-Belltech shocks are not srt10 specific. JTSVP has/offers them with they’re lowering kits for the srt10s. I ran them with my lowered srt10 and were good for what they were and price wise.

Really going to come down to personal choice and budget. What is your end goal with the truck? Do you plan on modifying/lowering the truck?

I contacted all the companies and all of them don’t have a specific shocks for the srt-10 except Jtsvp.
Viking have a lowers shocks but I want the stock height.
Now I’m thinking of Qa1 adjustable and Jtsvp adjustable as I can tune it to what I prefer.
