I have just returned from a road trip in my 04 SRT10. it was mainly highway driving and I got it down to 14 litres to 100 kilometres average or something like 16 mile per gallon, which I didn't think it was to bad for a ROE supercharged truck.

    Yeah that's good for SC
I have a NA truck and only a smidge better. I have seen 12's on the Canterbury Plains but not on this tune

The auto in the QC kills that. I'm lucky to see 12.

The RC's are lighter too. Our speed limit in NZ is 100kph approx 60mph so I can now putt along at 1200rpm in 6th

Yeah, about 500 pounds or so if I heard right.

Our speed limits in the states are a little higher, and I'm not always the best at following the rules. :D

Cost me a fair chunk to get to the Dyno

Good thing I still had a quarter tank left. I would have to pawn something...

    Read it and weep!!!!

    20221121_044232.jpg 20221121_044221.jpg

Recent trip to Ashburton and back and then just a run to work. Had to keep revs 1000-1500 and the lightest of pedals. The truck will run at 1000rpm in 6th and easy pull away from there, happy as. I am happy with the tweeks on my tune. It is safe and much more tractable at low revs on the highway. Bit like the old vacuum advance did for older engines. I could never use 6th on the road it was never happy at 1200rpm. With gas at $3/litre I need all the help I can get.

Never known anyone with one of these trucks who was actually concerned about fuel mileage lol.

That's true, i never considered them to be an economy vehicle. :)
After the first engine workover, it got better mileage than a new Nissan Armada that was at the pumps with me.

When you have really expensive fuel prices it will become an issue. What would you say if gas was $12 a gal

Another thing I noticed that the computer keeps counting when you stop at traffic lights or you leave it idling. That may explain why these trucks look so bad. Most vehicles change to show litres/hr when stationary and not just keep counting and ruining your gas mileage.

If the overhead mileage numbers are spoiling your fun, put in larger fuel-injectors and have your engine re-tuned for those. You will see a major boost in fuel economy numbers; well according to the overhead anyway...
