Please help. srt10 questions

Good question! Maybe due to the car was being stripped for parts it if stolen or damage cost to much for the owner at the time couldn’t afford the repair costs and took the insurance dollars .
2020 almost 5 years ago the prices went up as we’ve seen in the last few years . It appears to have sat for a period of time before the new energy put things back together. That would boost the value depending on what was done to get it back up and running . Personally I would make a lower offer and see if it takes .. I also would not buy any vehicle without seeing it and having it or inspecting myself ..
I was also thinking that maybe someone stole it did not know how to drive manual and broke the tranny ? then the owner decided to scrap it ?

And maybe ruined the rear and while they were at it! Was definitely an insurance claim with Allstate.

I agree with VIPR PWR - a lower offer

and a good mechanic to give her an inspection

Ok so just got more info to the story from the current owner
He says that the previous owner presumes that the transmission was taken off for insurance claim fraud
He put it back together and it just needed the clutch fixing.
He also send me this pic info on oil change.

curious if you got a copy of the CARFAX on it - that could show a paper trail of whatever it's service life was while it was in the system. Hopefully the oil has been changed again since 2020 lol, I use 10/30 in mine.

It looks based on the pics to be pretty well intact .. Make a list of the basic simple things you can visually check or ask the manufacturer owner about things like tire tread , brake ads , oil leaks at the oil cooler , power steering hoses ( both tend to seep and leak from the factory hoses .. coolant lvls and service done , clean antifreeze .. any idea about plug , plug wires and coil packs , filters .. at 50K miles certain basic maintenance should have been done by one of the owners . See what info he can offer ..
there are at least 2 different makes of tires in the pics , front and back ( should not be a problem and the tread looks reasonable in the pics . Look for signs of damage on body panels using a magnet will help find if bonds repairs were ever made .. 5 hours I agree is a long drive just to check out a vehicle but you could possibly find a shop in the trucks area and set up a inspection for you and have the owner take it to them or go have it done their yourself . Getting it checked either buy you or a decent shop for you not the owners mechanic is the only option left IMO ! Then negotiate on the price .. other than that I think it may be a buy just looking at the pics and what you posted already ..

See if the owner knows if it is throwing any trouble codes … it’s a,simple anyone can do thing .. TURN THE IGNITION KEY ON , OFF ON , OFF ON and Leave it on .. the codes will blink up on the trip mileage odometer ..

Check the registry and see if it on there and info of previous or original owner .. Jeff could very well have that info on the registry..

Looks like it came out of Georgia

I've never had much luck with the Registry lol - i May see if it works.

If it’s in there T may show the name of a previous owner and where it comes from .. may have been a past members truck on here !
