I've noticed the younger practitioners are really geared to this way of doctoring especially once someone is on Medicare or any insurance for that matter - seems over the years the doctors have gone from treating problems and finding solutions to being referral services or prescribing gobs of meds. Some don't even draw blood for labs they send you to the lab center - so essentially two trips to accomplish what used to be easy
That’s exactly what they do ,, nothing but less than a middle man making big dollars .. They need to be shut down not praised or paid .. Medicare and all insurance would be a hell of a lot cheaper .
My PCP for a year and a half ..
they draw blood and sent to a lab every 3 months checking the same things . Cost around $300 . Then around a week latter for a follow up , Cost another $300 all charged to insurance .
The Nurse takes the blood . The follow up consists of nothing but the results that the Lab sends them back .. I go to the Lab patient portal and already have seen the results which already say what’s high low or good on the documents. In other words the doctor does nothing but make money and do nothing .. If something is out of specs on the labs buy a big amount then the send you to a specialist which makes you pay a Co Pay. So the Primary makes around $600 For basically being a middle man and doing nothing . They can prescribe drugs which I can’t do myself even what type of drug I need .. then they scribe drugs based on age without knowing anything about me or doing any tests , it’s a age thing once your 65 you automatically should take this and that .. That’s malpractice ! They have no idea what these drugs do and can do to people , no or very little knowledge of the drugs they throw at people for absolutely no reason .. Take a statin ,take a hormone , take a prostate med , take a neuro brain chemistry changing drug , take a diabetes drug ( I’m waiting on that one to come ) ! I already told them I WILL NOT TAKE ANY LIFE TIME DRUGS . So what does the PCP do scribe me another one for my feet problem with out testing or checking anything or even knowing nothing about the reactions and contraindications of the drug or just outright lied … that drug is very dangerous per the warning sheet that come with the script ..
I will never take another drug from the damn doctors without knowing what it does and is for. I will weigh my own risk and screw the doctor deciding if the the drugs will outweigh the risks.
I was on 10 prescriptions after my heart attack when sent home . I’m now only taking 2 which are considered life time drugs .
My primary without any info on me or doing, the day I met him immediately scribed me 2 life time drugs and has continued to push those drugs even now after doing all the blood tests that show no problem .. in all my PCP has scribed me 3 drugs I do not and will not take . I talk to neighbors young and old about this doctor crap .. I find many are taking all the same drugs .. My opinion is they have no idea why and are complacent and have put doctors on a high pedestal that they just take their word for it .
WHAT THE HELL EVER HAPPENED TO FINDING A CURE INSTEAD OF TREATING A SYMPTOM …
MAYBE THE CURE FOR ALL HEALTH PROBLEM ARE EATING COW PATTY GROWN MUSHROOMS !
People need to drill and question their doctors and not be complacent 100% or you may end up getting something amputated and they can sell you a prosthetic limb !
Oh and take a look at the patient portals with ever doctor or lab .. look at the hospital portal and see what they actually do if you have been admitted .. look at the list of drugs the give you in the hospital…. It’s unreal ! The list of some of the drugs they put in me were very hard core drugs .. Dalauda , several morphine type drugs , atropine and more .. yes most likely given when a proceed or is done but it’s crazy what the shove in your body you don’t know about till after the fact and only if you check and see ?
Some are for a good reason others unknown .. like using atropine to inject in your heart do to either an mis or unknown condition or maybe you heart stopped on the table .. yes it happened to me because my pulse rate has always been low ( bradycardia or athletic heart ) but they don’t tell you that stuff, the portal does ).
The doctors in emergency rooms I do give credit to for what they DO . But these middlemen doctors can KISS MY ASS !
