Supposedly no flinging grease and no issue with debris since the boot itself is fine. The grease that is on the boot supposedly won't cause degradation to the boot since it's made of some newfangled stuff and not old skool rubber like my prior vehicles.

They have an inspection Video on file that can be accessed by any dealer for seven years.

I don't "go away" so I'm sure he knows this will not sit good with me until is taken care of. He can escalate to warranty I'm sure if i persist. :D

Fenders and hood on Dakota rattle can paint job ...been a couple days and will wait to compoud , polish and wax while I continue to prep other panels .. Most alredy primed just a matter of sanding and and ding repair , old clear coat om lower door , bed and tailgate will be the biggest slow down ,,, The grill was sanded and the fromt bumper but needs more work to spray the gloss black ... doing everything by hand is a workout and not what I planned ,, Thank asshat HOA ( I need a few of your birdy collection made into decals hahaha ) .

Well here are a couple pics of the results Pre polishing ... to tell you the truth it looks close to a rattle can show car so far lol

Its a semi cloudy day in the reflecion those are the clouds and sky ...

I think I need new wiper arms ,,, the reflect all bent out of shape lol .

Any ideas for simple graphics on the hood ,, I'm not an artist and can only do stick men .. I was thinking strips , one or 2 but want painted ones not stickers . Color ?

WOWWWW!! I'm super impressed!! That's working out really well - pun intended on working out lol

But it looks so much better and from a spray can is almost unbelievable!

I think a couple of Plum crazy colored stripes would look nice! Plus you like the color!!

Im trying to figure out what would look decent .. the molded indent part in the center of the hood throws me off ,, the circled area...IMG_2356.jpeg

Sprayed the black gloss on th gill and bumper today .. next wet sand it smoother to eliminate organ peel etc, check for dingles and then clear coat and wet sand again which hopefully finishes the front end of the truck . Doors and bed sides next !
Pre to get the old clear is a damn lot of hand sanding so Im testing the small areas left by feather it out as best I can ..then painting over whats left ,,, Ill see what it does as researching 1000 videos show its ok to do ! ( im not to sure about that myself but will give it some time to set up and see ).. a second coat on the grill and bumper is likely .....

Oh and I do have to clean overspray off the head lights again ,,, my pocket knife gets a workout hahahaha .. obviously I can mask off the truck due to that being a fead giveawy to the HOA noisy neighbors .. im replace the head lights later anyway , tail lights and 3rd brake light ..
 
It looks great!! Such an improvement and a lot of work!! But it's most likely worth it in the end. Makes it look very nice
 
Is you aren't adding any hood scoop or other stuff / hmmmmmm

Ideas welcome!

Not sure if ill do things like that ,, it was a beater work truck for years ... but yes if this completes as planned it will actually look better than it did when I originally bought it ..
 
Maybe something like this with thinner stripes farther apart - in purple
