Was the guy you purchased from the original owner .. Should have all the info about the truck and my have done the auto swap if thats the case !

No unfortunately not ..there have been a few previous owners but I can't trace it back to the first uk owner

I have just found this in the folder of paperwork ..it looks like the original fob as it states it's new but it isn't giving much info away unless the bar code means sonething

Try scanning the bar code ith your phone .. maybe something and worth a try

Looks like a exhaust cutout was installed ... appears to have the stock UPS sounding muffler still hahahha ! Is there a switch inside the cab to open the cutout ?

I have a fob switch to do the exhaust ...it's a neat feature..so I have the option of annoying the neighbours or not

Carpet in the center console floor appear to hav been repaired .. that is a high sign of a trans swap IMO .
The trans does appear to be a 48re but possibly from a different model truck , Diesel or orther .. you would have to verify it with a part number .. the deisels armset up for torque , the 10s adjustments are different .. @rottenronnie has a thourgh knowledge of the 48re's ...

Not sure what fob that is or if its aftermarket ... on my 2005 QC it looks completely different ..

Ok that's a great help...where do I go to check the vin number for the build sheet or am I in the right place already?...do you know of any other auto single cabs apart from the previously mentioned pace trucks?

And If I was to get extra horses from the truck what's the best bang for buck mods that you would recommend without touching the engine ?

To me at this time Ill have to say due to the carpet repair that the auto is a swap ,,, by who and when ,, no idea ?!? I doubt the factory would have not replace the carpet on a new truck if they swaped it .. the rest of what I see is all factory and solid looking work ..

Part number should be somewhere on the transmission , ive never looked that close on mine lol old bones are tough crawling under a vehicle ...
Other than the pace trucks ,, all SC's are later swaps as far as anyone knows .
Mods that boost some HP ,,, would be to change out to a better muffler , remove the factory exhaust resonators .. replace the trans throttle body with a high perfomance on set up for the 10's or a shift kit , add a after market throttle body , and get a SCT tuner hand held device with several tunes in it .. Those would be the simple basic mods IMO ,

My mods are :
Mods: K&N Cai, SCT tuner, 170 thermostat, Sun Coast modified valve body (Sun Coast Transmissions), Lowering shackles(JTSVP), Sneaky Pete valve caps(JTSVP), Born date plaque .. Viper fang streering wheel badge, BBK Throttle body( Cherry preformance), lifetime oil lines(JTSVP), Shaved badges and some sort of 36" glass pack mufflers.

My Auto Transmission and all autos in the 10's were the 48 RE's from the factory .
