Battery Starting Problem

Just a quick note. When modern vehicles are parked, always lock them as this puts them to sleep and stops a lot of the parasitic losses. It is just sitting there waiting....can we go yet, ok not yet then....how about now can we go now? Oh not yet....what about now huh hmm huh? That is what is going on. My truck 3 weeks and won't start if I don't lock it.

Have a friend with a BMW 320 and his wife used it as a shopping basket about once a month or longer even. Endless problems with flat batteries and not starting. Got ripped for new battery, then alternator, then leads. Car was in garage never locked. Someone told him to lock the car and problem solved. Three years of grief and expense sorted by the most simplest of things.
 
Thinking on it / it does make sense!
 
Just install a battery kill switch or disconnect the battery lol
Security systems are parasitic leaches

Seroiusly tho, if you think you are not going to use your truck for awhile, then battery minder/solar thing or whatever is good. Yes disconnect battery.

I can still drive her that's something I'll never unlearn lol - but I'll say I would be very respectful of the Queen's abilities! I'm sure she can easily outperform me! :eek:hahahaha

She has her own dedicated tender on all the time. Replaced the battery a couple years ago. Still have her factory one though :cool:
 
Would be lovely to attend an SRT Track experience day again! Maybe they will do some if they bring the SRTs back!
 
Take a risk, start it up, go for a skid. Get some exhaust fumes in ya nostrils. Feel that adrenaline.
 
I have a new set of hoses. Considered selling many times due to the area we live in not being very conducive to using her. But then I feel like I would regret it.
