Ive had my SRT-!0 for a while now, And ill be honest my Mods list dosnt include a NASA Supercharger, or a Russian Built Triple Tango Bi-Quad Turbo Resonated $20,000 Exhaust System. But that dosnt Mean i dont like to Piddle on stuff here or there.

For example, I have discovered that the Auto Dimming RearView mirror, with its accessory 12V wires descending behind it make a great place to Install a Semi-Hidden radar detector with the mount on the Mirror housing itself.
And also how the spot in between the two reading lights over your rear View Mirror makes a great place to Cluster some small switches for Mis. Items.

Just little things that make a big impact.
Would anybody like to share some ideas In Regards to little stuff like this, It can even be ideas for good Sticker Placement, How to hide Wires, Were to put extra Gauges, How to get Louder BASS out of that stock 10". or even your experience with simple things like new floor mats.

I think its time we leave the Major MODs behind and perhaps start discussing some of the smaller Details...???:nurse:

Hey Burk, How close to Shaw AFB are you. Use to go there and work on their overhead doors in all their hangers. Nothing like walking into a dark hanger and once your eye's adjust to the light, turning around and looking up the ass end of a F4 Phantom. Kind of makes things pucker a little. Here are some pics of how I've got my detector mounted and room for extra gauges and Raptor shift light. And to help with the sub, pack it with insulation.

But it seems my efforts didn't.... sigh.. they didn't seem to fair too well..:dontknow:

I think this is a GREAT Idea! :)

Two things to contribute.....

1. You can take the insulation off the rear bulk-head in the engine bay. There is a nice, black plastic trim piece behind it that will clean up.... Some other have done this too. I will gather a pic or two and post in a sec. :)

2. Kevan had a post about installing a switch for the engine compartment light. This would allow you to turn off the light while the hood is open (during shows, or GTG's), allowing you to save the battery. I will search for this as well.... He had a REAL nice write-up, if I remember correctly.

We need the 3/4 inch one to fit our mirror stems. I even put a fanged viper emblem on the front side of the mount for all to see through the windshield. I'll have to get pics tomorrow. Oh yeah, this is a quality piece. Made from aluminum not plastic.

Here's a FREE mod for ya . . .

hey Jake....this interests me...the insulation on mine looks dirty & frayed....where are those pictures you spoke of...?

stuff your subwoofer box with poly fill, sounds better!
also...if you have a RC,you can drop the rear to level it for $75.00 0r so.

I say the best little inexpensive mod you can do is leave it stock   :D

Maybe a Gen X shifter (even I broke down and did that) - it is definitely worth it for a reasonable price. Of course that is if you have an RC. :D

Got one! Love it!!! Nice and clean, and kind of hidden from potential thieves view!

Mine looks EXACTLY like yours! (Love the V-1, possibly my best mod yet!:D)

Once a shifter has been inserted you no longer can be considered stock...

That philosophy is consistent across all kinds of issues.
