fully loaded dodge 4x4 with the big motor. sorry to have to say this (been dodge loyal for over 20 years) but this truck will smoke anything out on the lots right now. Dont believe me?? go test drive one....................

only complaint i have with the truck is shifting into 4x4 with the new government mandates on traction control and abs, it does take a while to shift into 4wd.

that's respectable for sure and I may have to check one out. Really is close to a factory QC 10! I'm surprised the 395hp the Dodge puts out won't at least give an even race? Maybe you are comparing where power is made and the Ford may be from idle to 4500 where a Hemi may make power from 2500-5500? Not sure on either but I know GM well and the LS motors factory make most power from about 2000-6000! I just wonder if the difference in where torque is made in each engine pursuaded your choice? It would just seem a 3/4-1 ton single wheel, short bed 4x4 Ram or Power Wagon should prove equal. I also think the Raptor may have ridiculously low diffy gears compared to all others? Just not sure you really got a fare comparison whether by salesman or test drives. Hell they coulda put you in a decked out 4x4 like u say and I believe there are 5 rear gear ratios from 3:42-4.88. All depends on RPO codes and options just sayin', but Raptors are in a class of their own.

This Ford raptors are sloooowwwww! lol one of the guys at work has one and was talking all this crap on how his is so fast and can beat my V10!?! I pretty much embarrassed him in front of everyone that followed us out of work onto a closed road...the raptor is a JOKE lol not even close to the power of our trucks I say i left him a good 2-3 blocks behind on a roll on from 80mph before I let off not to mention on numerous times and giving him 3car lenghts several times I would fly by passed him as if he were standing still....got to work the next day everyone was like "He should of never even talked or tried racing you" not even close

the acr where i live now was just impractical, roads are just too bad to have a lowered sports car. i really dont think i could drive one on my street without tearing it up.

if any of you think any new off the lot chevy, dodge, nissan or toyota can keep up with me in these conditions you are seriously mistaken. the truck is not built for mud and too wide for trails. i use to prep class 1 offroad race cars, trophy trucks, build race car bodys, manufacture and prototype parts for duncan racing, howe power steering and have more experience in offroad racing than anyone on this forum. when i say it is a nice truck, it is.

and just for your info i still have 2 dodge trucks, my old 4x4 is going to get finished with a 4 linked rear end, full cage and new motor. the nice thing about the ford is if i break it, fuck it, it is under warranty

I have to slow down on bouncy roads, and those trucks fly by. I've Also dominated an SVT Raptor in Sand Racing, utterly destroyed it, Ego and all. Then later that Night, at the 1/4 mile, I took out a Viper Truck.. Nice to be able to multi task. I picked up some grocery's too on the way home..

Dodge also now has the "Ram Runner" package.

Yep, I have one of those POS's and love it Say what you want, I tested the new 4x4 Dodges before testing the Raptor and the Raptor hands down whooped it ass

Well, I like em too. 4 wheel drive in Montana=winter fun. Can't even drive my 10. I want one of each, thanks. I really don't care who makes it if it's fast and does what I want it to do and looks like I want it to look. I was looking at Lightnings when I bought my 10. Liked the looks of the 10 better. But I like the looks of the Raptor. Hope you have great luck with it!
