drop blocks?

Anyone use drop blocks? Doesn't seem like a good idea to me. How much of a drop? Anyone know the dimensions that I could just make them myself, or is that not a good idea. thanks!

easiest way to level the truck, i have the 1" blocks (steel). 100.00 bucks is a lot for a used set. also i think steel is the preferred material to use. stinker has them.

Many, many of us are using drop blocks...myself included. It actually just levels the truck by lowering the rear a little. No problems with it at all. They don't work on the QC only the RC. You will also need longer U-bolts. The stockers aren't long enough. Talk to Tony (JTSVP) for a complete kit. His blocks and bolts sell for $95.

Ditto on this from Dave ....... I dropped 2.5" with blocks, installed end link drop kit also. No problems or issues ..

Nice! Was reading up on them got alot of mixed results. I'm on a tight budget right now... might have to make some up.

Be careful making your own. There is a "pin" that keeps them in place. Also, by the time you get good quality U bolts you could have almost bought the ones from JTSVP. Do not use cheap boat trailer U bolts.

I wish I would have taken a pic between the X-metal U bolts and the ones Stinker sent me. Big difference.
