    Diagnosis of Broken Engine

No, there are no cam bearings in these engines - part of the block. I'm waiting on pictures from the Houston dealership to check everything out.

    Unreal!!! Blown Engine......AGAIN!!!!

A.R.T builds some really nice engines and Viper upgrades. I remember Dave from the dealership he worked at as well as one of the other tuners in this area (Pharr Out Performance - Chris Pharr - old dealer tech and service writer). They both do excellent work (but not without their own issues...

    Unreal!!! Blown Engine......AGAIN!!!!

It's happened to me personally as well - had a "reputable" engine builder do some upgrades to my old V6 (yeah yeah) and made it to Baytown for the Houston Mopar Races. Wound up towing it home after breaking 1/2 of the rings in the engine (wrong ring clearances were used with the pistons). I...

    Unreal!!! Blown Engine......AGAIN!!!!

Yes, a torque wrench was used on all bolts that require it and to factory spec. Why the trans mount and crossmember bolts were left loose is something I don't understand. They were checked by myself and the other lead tech that helped reinstall the transmission. You had also mentioned...

    Well I gota surprise today

Hehehehe....seen one of his Vipers run at a San Antonio Raceway a few years ago - 1 run wonder (Made 1 run then wondered what that white smoke was coming out of the tailpipe). Ah...we're not all that bad though. There's quite a few shops around these parts that will help out and warranty...

    Throttle sluggish when hot

Nice pics...personally, I just solder the resistor inline and put some shrink tube over it (don't like crimp connectors - i'm spoiled...I know). If you have a scanner, you can check the ambient temp before and after the install...it'll be right about 18-20 degrees cooler. Actual...

    ? on knock sensor

    (1) Bosses are there but need to be drilled/tapped (2) No - No way to reprogram the PCM to accept knock sensors (3) You can upgrade/update the harness and PCM but the cost and possibility of it not working properly far outweighs running with an aftermarket knock sensor and fuel/timing controller.

    Throttle sluggish when hot

If you remove te IAT sensor harness, it "can" work but will set a MIL (Check engine light) and will also set the IAT value to -40F (too cold and too rich). I ran the adjuster for many years and was able to set the IAT temp (which affects timing +/- 4 degrees across the board) to an optimum...

    head lights

We've tried to turn them on for various US vehicles. Some work and some don't. It depends on the circuit and vehicle/model/year. Yes, they do run at a lower output.

Need - Driver Airbag from an '04-'06 Viper

Looking for (preferably) a working driver airbag but will settle for one that's been used. Needed from a 2004-2006 Dodge Viper. If you either have one or know someone who has one, please let me know.

Cant wait to get my 05' rc BACK TOMORROW!!!!!!!

Well...I ran into a small set-back but am going into work tomorrow AM to finish up the job. (Forgot to run the harness under the manifold - my mistake).

    Throttle sluggish when hot

4.7K ohm resistor (1/4 watt / 2%) works best. Just solder it inline on either of the two IAT wires. Been doing this for years now on the other Magnum engines. I could also send you the schematics from my old "IAT Adjuster" that allowed you to set the IAT temp signal from 0 to 150 (F) on a...

Cant wait to get my 05' rc BACK TOMORROW!!!!!!!

Sorry about the delays on the truck (engine build). Ran through hoops getting everything (parts and tools). I'll be working on the truck most of the day tomorrow and "should" be done (fired up and leak checked). Yes, I am the tech working on your truck. You're in good hands...i'll be...
