Want to sell an estate piece. This ring is professionally appraised at over $31,000.00

Pear-cut main diamond is L/VVS2 and weighs 3.23 carats. COMPLETELY un-enhanced & was hand cut by a master jeweler in the 1940s. This is an antique family heirloom, and is guaranteed to make her say, "YES! YES! YES!" The two smaller baguette diamonds are a combined 0.4 carats and g-h/VS.

If you are looking for an amazing ring, look no further. You can't walk into Zales or Kay and buy a piece like this. The jeweler who appraised the ring literally drooled when I pulled it out of the box.

Will trade for a vehicle valued at $25,000+, or sell for $20,000 cash, FIRM. Can meet by appointment only to show at any jewelry store in Eastern NC.

Will travel for the right deal.

NOTE: I'll hand someone a 5% bird dog fee if they bring me a legit buyer. That is a decent commish...

Gracias. It really can't be done justice by pictures. This was my grandmother's ring, and probably partially explains why she (a perfect 10 & wonderfully wholesome human being) married my grandpa. Did not hurt that he was also a smooth-talking dude, like myself...lol.

My wife would never wear it without a body guard, and I need the funds or a trade of equal value to help bolster my new car lot.

This thing will make a woman melt.

A local antique shop told me that the $31k appraisal is "quite conservative," and that they've seen lesser rings priced over forty grand. The offer from the biggest jeweler in town is a few thousand shy of what I consider a non-insult, so I told them I'll broker the ring myself.

Good luck, I did the same thing, I think I got just over half of apprasial from a dude on another forum looking to upgrade his wifes 20 year old ring. I figure I got about 20% more than the local dealer would give me(if my math is right). He did drive all the way up from TX for it.

I've got a 9 carat canary diamond engagement ring. Was cut in the 1880s. Last heirloom from the Greek side of my family. The thing is absolutely mesmerizing.

The thing is a house... Literally...

glws or trade

Have any pictures?

I wouldn't sell it on Craigslist...could turn ugly.

If eBay had an inbred cousin, it would be craigslist... That said, you gotta do what you gotta do.

SRT2SLOW,

If you're serious, please let me know what mods you've got, miles, and if it's ever been in an accident. I can meet you if we come to terms.

Nice chunk of carbon! Glws! Funny story....I got in a pretty bad fight a few years ago with this dude in my barracks and while my first sgt was smoking the shit out of me, I saw something shining in the ground. Went back a few hours later and sure nuff, a 2 carat ring was sitting right there in the sand. I thought for sure it was fake till I it staring chopping mirrors in half with the stone. Had it reset in a better ring and wifey wears it now! Hate it for the guy who lost it, but wifey didn't care. Matter of fact she loves the way it happened lol. Best fight ever lol

It is funny to me how certain things are held precious in our world, such as stones and metals, and yet, there are perfectly helpless people who the more fortunate seem to write-off.

Not trying to sound like a liberal, tree-hugging bearded dyke, but I once saw a lady leaving the Breitling watch shop after buying a $1400 bezel for her $12,500 watch turn her nose up at a man who asked her for a QUARTER. I almost smashed the bitch over her head and took her watch. The little red guy on my shoulder said, "Take that hunk of metal and rocks to the local pawn shop, sell it for a mere $500 'off the books,' and hand the cash to the homeless dude."
Then the little conservative on my other shoulder said, "I bet that bum has fifty bucks worth of liquor stashed in his cardboard box." But I still handed him a quarter, for cryin' out loud. A quarter. Home girl had just dropped $1400 because her gold watch didn't quite make her happy enough, and she didn't have a quarter to give to a man with no shoes on his feet.

Im sure she'll meet that little red guy one day...or his big cousin. :dontknow:

Cool take on conservatives, prick. Not to mention that after all your ranting, you, the guy with the $30k ring, couldn't fork over more than $.25 cents?

I did not realize you missed smackdown so badly.

You're a charmer, sir. Whatever you've quit, be it cigs, meth, reefer or crack, PLEASE do us all a favor and start doing it again. Seems like your sole purpose here is to piss on other people's threads.

It's not my ring. It is my grandmother's. It was given to me to help start a business. And all I had was a quarter in my pocket (the dude did not accept credit cards).

Oh I get it, you thought everyone would see how cool you were for talking badly about the evil rich lady and giving a homeless chap a quarter. I had friends in elementary school who used similar antics. It didn't work out well for them either.

Good luck with the new business.

I think I'm gonna go out tonight and get in a good ole fist fight.
I love getting punched in the face and I love making people bleed

I kinda hope you meet "Big" when you're out. :D

You need to get affiliated with a local gym and I'll get you a spot in the next Cage Wars.

I could give a flying fuck what you think you know about me, champ. Sorry you read so much into my anecdote.

Ring is still for sale. Though I have had some interesting offers.

I am not a fighter. I'm a lover.

That diamond will hold its value far more than a vehicle unless you have an original Shelby Cobra or another vehicle that's actually collectible. Personally I'd hold out until the ring sells for cash or tuck it away as a "nest egg" or something for a rainy day.
