So I replaced both calipers rotors and pads in the front a year ago on my truck.

My front pass caliper was seizing up and I had front brakes on all the time.

Ordered pistons and seals.

Had my guys replace them in the caliper. No more seizing but, now the pedal has wayyy too much travel. Has resistance but nothing like before.

Any ideas?

Sounds like air in lines. Start with right rear, left rear, right front and lastly left front. Reservoir must be full entire time.

I'm with Scott on this, sounds like air in the system still.

OK, yeah E things there might be air in the ABS module too.

They are using DOT 5 fluid. Is that going to cause any problems? E says that it brakes down yearly.

if they didn't flush the system completely that is bad news bears!! The 2 fluids (DOT 3/4 and DOT5) Do not mix!!! You will be replacing your entire brake system if that's what they did, the sponginess is not air, it's deteriorated seals.

Yup get that shit outta there!

Dot 5 fluid will outlast dot 3/4 time wise (before it go's bad). Dot 5 will not play well with ABS brakes & should NEVER be used.

I'm in Orlando, Who rebuilt your calipers? my left front is seizing bad!! willing to drive to Ocala if need be..
