06 srt 10 quad cab, SCT tune or not?

Did that 450 include dyno pulls as well?

Probably not. The tuner comes with tunes already in it. You can install them in your driveway, then do burnouts down the street, no dyno time needed.

That's more info than was needed.

Selling mine done by Torrie if anybody interested let me know first 300$ it unlocked and for a 2006 QC .

I have a reg cab so I can't speak for the torque management. How ever my engine melted #10 piston in the ring land area shortly after installing the SCT tune. Would I do it again? Hell no! That mistake cost me $15,000.
However I kept my SCT box for now.
I would recommend running the truck on a dyno immediately after installing the tune to verify everything is ok if not adjustments can be made
Question... did you install an AEM wideband?? KNOWING where your A/F ratio is prior to starting the process could have saved $15K.

Better yet do a remote tune with Torrie. He will work with you on the Dyno and send you updates specific to your truck while on the dyno via email pending the results of the previous pull.
I did "on the road" pulls and sent the data to Torrie. He did an EXCELLENT job of modifying the files and sending them back quickly. The changes in my truck were impressive. A/F still stays a safe 12.6-12.7:1

After installing longtubes, catless mids, magnaflow catback, and a throttle body, it felt like a totally different truck. Made a big difference.... But after I did the SCT tune to take advantage of these mods.... WOW. I't made twice as much difference as the mods themselves did. Get it!
No wideband?

If youre modding the intake/exhaust you're going to need a tune. Im still a little new to these beasts, but ive tuned enough Harleys and carbs to know that once you get them breathing you need to correct the A/F mix. The FI will correct some, but you will still be lean with all the extra air going in.
I run torrie's tune (93 octane currently) and if anything its safely rich.
I wouldn't think his tune caused the issue, but I would think running a bigger TB and cai for an extended period without a proper tune could cause the truck to run lean enough to roast a piston.
If im wrong, please correct me
Glad to assist....Torries tunes are definately safe rich. However, not as PIG RICH as the factory tunes. I saw UNDER 11:1 A/F on the factory tune at high RPM WOT.
I did as many mods to my RC and the engine was still rich prior to installing a tune from torrie. I actually was able to lean things out a bit to obtain solid safe rich power at all RPM's.:) So in reality, on these engines, you can open up the engine flow and still be rich and have room for a timing bump to boot.
Torries extensive experience on Dyno's with these engines clearly shows. He knows how much timing to add at all RPM's and with enough fuel in the map be all day safe.

Cheers guys.
