I'm using a gen3 motor in a project and want to know if the intake can be installed facing the back of the engine. will the ports line up or will it even bolt up.

I believe Illmor builds there engines with the intake facing backwards. I have a set of heads and an intake sitting in my parts pile. I will mock them up and take some pictures and let you know. :D
