purchased steel braided oil lines for my 04 one just let go right in the middle of the line spraying everywhere wasnt rubbing or touching anything anyone else have this problem. had 2 new ones made for 135.00

Who you get them from? Ive had the JTS oil and power steering lines for 2 years now. No leaks no problems.

Got mine from JTSV as well. Haven't had an issue. It actually runs about 10° cooler with them on.

I had one of the Power Steering lines from JTSVP explode in the middle too while i was in Daytona.... What a bummer. 127 mile tow.

Had another one made locally.

I made my own. .. bought some braided hose and fittings online from Jeg. 8k miles in and havent had any issues yet.

What psi line are they using for the PS? It's @1400psi +- 50 max I believe for the dead head and lock to lock.

I dont know. Its a big hydraulic place. The line is teflon too, not rubber.

Sounds good. So long as it's 1500+psi you're good. I'd hate to get stranded some where like that. I'm thinking electric fans are gonna be my next thing just in case.

Efficient. Thats a strong word for it imo. Electric fans won't rob power. Won't leave you stranded when your pump goes out. It's only needed at low speeds anyhow. First time you change the PS pump yourself you might change your mind too haha.

Electric fans would create about 1.5 -2" more space. Way easier access. Plus it would drop about 10lbs off the truck. Personal preference I guess. I just don't trust it. Bad design imo. My thought on it is an electric set up with an under drive pulley would take the extra stress off the pump. They're notorious for going out. At $340 a pop I'm willing to try it. If not, I just gave myself more room to replace it and freed up a little hp in the process.

Found the post on the DIY, bought everything from JEGS. The post had all part numbers and links. Did mine at the beginning of summer. No leaks
