NEED A FLORIDA MECHANIC.

Good luck!! You will get it figured out!

I'm not a mechanic, I'm a realtor.. So unfortunately, I have to go by what I'm being told. I'll get more info on what parts I need and reach out.

By the way thank you all! I just want to get this truck driving. It's been 3 years and I've never heard the engine roar.
Start selling up a storm! You will need money but well worth it. You need to decide what you want to build. Just a nice OEM engine (boring) 500hp. Or a crisp engine without the mass production atrocities and green initiatives. John has some good tricks to make things a bit better probably 600hp. Go hard out NA forged everything, wicked cam, wicked head work retune, probably 700hp. Forced induction from there 800hp, 1000hp up to 2500hp and beyond. John can source you a correct block. He does have access to brand new blocks. Does really good head work. Supplies other shops too.
I went for the hard out NA engine. I was lucky to have landed some Striker Heads but you don't need them as the work John does will get you within 50hp anyway.

@srtvipertruck how is your quest to get her running coming along?
And by the way - happy birthday!!

It's always a bummer when they leave us hanging like this lol

Did he get you an older Gen II Viper Block instead of a Gen III?
If so, the Gen III Heads won't bolt directly on.

Or maybe a newer Gen IV/Gen V block (that won't directly accept your Gen III Heads either).

Possibility 3 would be an old V10 8.0L truck block (cast iron). A surprising number of people think they are "basically the same" engine as the Viper, but they sure aren't..

You need a 2003-2006 Gen III block.

Let’s hope it’s the gen 3 ,,, that would stink if not

HELLO EVERYONE. I had the opportunity to buy a 2-door a few years back. The buyer said he had blown a head gasket.... After my mechanic took the engine apart like a lego set. he said he needed a new block after finding the block now the heads don't fit.. I have no idea, I need some to put this baby back together. Please message me asap.
Welcome to the RBC where are you located in FL? You may have to go to your local dealership and ask them about their dodge Viper ASE certified mechanic. Find a way to befriend him and see if he can do work on the side or on his off days. Also contact these guys at JTSVP.com or JTS Venom performance in NC or Hennessey in Tx.
