I always pack the grease and wrap tape around a bolt till it fits snug..... but I still have Charlie's line up tool I can mic the pilot. if you had asked before Thursday I coulda mic-ed the pilot shaft!
Me personally I can't pay 6500 then need 2k to get them in running condition. With rockers and all maybe. But today's vendors are coming up with some good heads for a lot less money.
Well last night I went over her with a fine tooth comb and some ether. I couldn't find a single air leak and I did get the old bolt drilled out and re tapped so I now I have a bolt in the throttle body. All sealed. I ordered a new wide band sensor so if that don't fix it it just HAS to be tune...
I did not like my fidanza, if racing it began to make a racket after a few good hard passes and if I towed in town with it the same thing. Cleared up after driving for a bit like normal but still gave me the worries. I guess it depends on use of the truck.
I just finished swapping pedals so I would be ready when the drive shaft shows up. It wasn't too bad. I did remove driver seat that made plenty of room takes 4 bolts and 6 nuts (center console has to come loose too) and 2 plugs to remove it. I dropped the column then just removed it all...
