on my truck with 85k miles on it we pulled the heads when we pulled the motor and you could still see the crosshatches in the cylinder walls. looked excellent for a motor with that many miles on it. only reason for pulling it was to build it for twin turbos.

is that black chrome?

my son found one with 23k on the clock for 20000.00 gonna go look at it next week.

Lifter noise is normal. one amp is in the dash and the sub amp is under the center console. have no idea about the holes in the dash without some pics.
