Sway Bar
I can't tell from the pic but is your truck a QC or RC? 05 or 06? I see that your spare has been removed...can you keep the spare and still use the sway bar or do you have to lose the spare?
Thanks!
I had a Chevy Silverado with the 6.0L engine and I was considering changing to a 160 thermostat. Over on Performance trucks the concensus was that installing a 160 would definitely lower the operating temps resulting in increased HP but actually how much of an increase in HP who knows as the...
Call Todd at Jet Hot coating and he can explain the differences. I personally went with the Black 2,000 coating as it has a little better heat protection and it from what they tell me it will never ever come off no matter what you get on it.
Thanks!
From my understanding it was not a factory option. I did not want an aftermarket system so I inquired about the Mopar remote start at my dealership. Dropped off the truck and the Mopar system will not work on the SRT10 due to the engine start button on the dash. I decided not to add an...
I have a set of Hi-Flo cats for sale if you end up going that route. I decided to keep my truck legal with all Mopar Equipment. I have the Mopar cat-back exhaust and will be soon adding extrude honed stock exhaust manifolds that have the 2,000 degree Jet Hot coating. I'll post dyno results...
No one is trying to screw you...you don't see the value in the SRT10 so it seems as though you feel like someong is taking advantange of you. There are alot of people on this forum who paid MSRP for their trucks and still love them today. You are attempting to pay thousands below invoice...
Fast Fred is interested in these Hi-Flo cats and asked if they would fit for sure. I have not measured the exhaust pipes on the SRT10 QC so I am not sure if they are 3" or not. But you are correct Bone...with a good welder you can make them fit. Do you know if the stock exhaust pipes going...
I was very concerned about increasing the noise level on my 06 QC as well but wanted a little more sound. After talking to quite a few people everyone mostly agreed that the Mopar exhaust was the quietest available for the QC but possibly not the most performance. I was reluctant bought just...
I may have been off on the 20 degrees reduction in timing but there was a comment made about reduction in timing. I'll see if I can verify that. Either way it seems as though the Meth would help especially here in Texas with the 100 degree days in August.
Thanks!
NADA and Kelley set the trade values and the dealer can obviously go up or down from there depending on the vehicle condition, market conditions, and demand for that particular vehicle. Any type of vehicle with an engine (boat/car/motorcycle) depreciates so fast these days unfortunately. If...
I just checked out Snow's website regarding there Meth kits and it looks interesting. Everyone I have talked to about these V-10 engines all say they don't like heat. I believe even Boomer stated that after the engine temp goes over 195 degrees the PCM automatically reduces timing about 20...
I got it...I was thinking you could run meth injection with no VECIII. I thought maybe the meth could operate stand alone meaning it had its own built in controller. But since I do not have the VECIII I would have to buy and install a VECIII for the meth to function at all correct?
I looked on Roes website and was not 100% sure but in order for the Meth injection to work you must have the VECIII correct? The meth injection can not be used as a stand alone mod from what it looks like. My truck is not SC but with 100 degree days in Texas I was just curious...
Thanks!
I used these for only about 3 months and put 1,300 miles on them. The overall length is 11" and they are 3" in and out. I have them priced at $300 plus shipping or OBO. These are very high quality made out of stainless steel and on the dyno only lost 3 RWHP compared to catless mids on a 6.0...
Viper Badge
I posted this before but somehow the pics are not showing up anymore so I'll post again. I have a 2006 QC and because of all the love bugs I added the Mopar OEM bug shield. I went ahead and bought one of the orginal Dodge Mopar OEM new generation Viper badges off of Ebay for about...
Excuse my ignorance as I am still learning but how is the following item a performance mod? Does it effect the air/fuel ratio somehow?
-JMB Catch Can to eliminate oil vapor from getting in your engine (yes that is a performance mod): $110 with CAI
Thanks!
