Oh, and BTW the powdercoated calipers look fantastic! Who did the powdercoating? Did you have to disassemble them and then rebuild them after they were coated? Can you give us some info on the process please?
The calipers on '05 and '06 trucks are made by TRW. They are the largest automotive brakes ever made by that company. Here's a copy of the press release when they announced that they (TRW) were going to be supplying the calipers.

What I had in mind was a system similar to the Air Ride system that partially uses the stock leaf mounting locations to mount the front of the lower links on each side. Some upper links could be made to angle in toward the center of the truck, attaching to a bracket that mounts across the frame...
Just curious, has anyone looked into or experimented with converting the rear leaf spring setup in our trucks for a four link setup using coil over springs? This practice is fairly common now on early f-bodies (camaros/firebirds) for protouring cars. The rear setup on the camaro is very...
Hey, did you guys follow the link from Viperalley over to the Corvette forum? Those Viper guys are teasing the Corvette guys about the vid--pretty funny.
You mentioned using a GM tranny earlier, so I thought you might like to see this:

It's a 4L60E modified to go on a Mopar bolt pattern. Not sure if it will work for your application, but maybe...
Wow, that '09 SRT-10 chop looks great! Come on Dodge--build it! Or at least offer the 6.1L and a 6spd. Also think of how easy the rear is going to be to drop now. Just swap out the coils, plus it would be easy to make the links that locate the rear axle fully adjustable.
Check it out, now all Dodge needs to do is grow a pair and drop in the new Viper motor...don't hold your breath.

Here's something else to throw into the mix. It's my understanding that, aside from them all being automatics, none of the Challengers released in '08 have a limited slip rear differential (or a Sure Grip differential as Dodge calls it). I believe that it will be standard on the SRT's and...
It's unlikely that anyone is going to have the exact bolt diameters and thread pitch memorized (I could be wrong--and major respect to anyone that walks around with that info filed away in their head). So your best course of action is probably to take the fasteners off of the other side and...
I wonder what the difference is between the rear suspensions of the '05 QC's vs. the '06 QC's, that causes a vibration to show up only in the '06's? A difference in the drive shaft center support bearing location maybe? From what I have heard, the frames on the '06's are from the 3500 series...
As I recall Blackviper was having problems with a vibration at about 10-15 mph in the rear of the vehicle. Have you experienced any vibrations that feel like they are caused by lowering the front?
