    Swivel socket helps in that situation, you don't need to go through the wheel well.

    Master Cylinder

    There is a simple way to test it. Remove the line from the master to the slave, press the clutch pedal, if the pedal is rock hard it is your slave cylinder, if the pedal moves the master is bad.

    Computer issue

    Check your abs module connector, at the driver side rear of the engine under the wiper cowl. I have seen water get into this connector and cause a similar issue.
