If you wrap your headers it will keep the under hood temp insanely low. No more bogging on a hot day.
Also helps with scavenging. I call it the chimney effect.

This was me in the late 90's with a 6.5 diesel GMC modified a bit. Ran in Targa NZ (tarmac rally), a hill climb and a couple of days at road circuits. Pukekohe and Taupo. Heaps of fun and gave the slower cars a real fright.
