You are still having bad luck.......search some old threads....the X-Metal mids were notorious for causing a 10-20 HP loss in power due to poor design.....your stock mids give more power...sorry..
Just joking....congrats!
I posted a similiar statement on another thread about the resistor mod....it is so out of date......and caused me a lot of headaches when real mods started coming out...caused tunes to be inconsistant...cleared up soon as I removed it....................
But back to what this thread is...
I would find another dealer.....I dont blame them for limiting test drives but they need to qualify a buyer..........and yes, the Charger, 300 & Jeep are AT....only the Chally can be had AT or manual...
I got to actually touch a 2012 SRT8 Charger a few weeks ago when I was at the Virginia Intnl Raceway (VIR).....the SRT engineers had a black one there doing tests...beautiful car....my brother has one ordered and I am about excited as he is because I will get to drive it...:)
You are correct about "pulling like a mofo on the top end".......many times at the track my former 06 srt8 would be trailing half way down the track...then it would feel like I hit a NO2 button and I would pass the other car like it hit the brakes....
Nice truck Cody!!...those trucks have potential to be faster than the 10s....and yes, I drove several 392 Challengers at VIR a couple weeks ago and they are badazz...
The 06-10 SRT8 Chargers had the same power with only slight appearance changes......the soon to come 2012 SRT8s get a 6.4L Hemi (Challenger got the 6.4 in 2011) with HP going from 425 in the 6.1 to 465 (470 depending on which article you read)...and rumor has it a factory supercharged 6.4 option...
Love the Charger...This is actually my 3rd Charger...I bought an 06 RT in July of 2005 then traded it 4 months later for a 2006 SRT8.....I traded the SRT8 for the SRT10 in August of 2007....loved the 10 but I never got over the Charger......an opportunity arose earlier this yr and one C5 Vette...
Tell her it is an investment....an 06 with 7K miles will bring close to $30K.......in the long run you will be way ahead if you trade in a few years....you could buy it now and drive for a yr and still get more than $30K......if I didnt have the Charger I would be asking location info...
