I picked up an Epiphone SST Classic of ebay for just under $200. The nice thing about it is you can plug a set of headphones into it and practice without bothering anybody or go ahead and use an amp. Don't know if that option is available on all of them. It's available with either a 2" or 1.75"...

I was thinking the same thing. No hard hats, no hearing protection etc. Probably couldn't be done these days (or cost prohibitive) with OSHA looking over their shoulders looking for a reason to fine them.

That works out perfect. He gets the low parts you get the rest. But that only works for a little while......they grow up fast.
