I saw the pics of the truck and to each his own I guess :dontknow:
I saw the flame war start and was like
I get up and read it all again, now I'm like :D
Just wrapped my install up today. Completed in just over 6 hours start to finish. Ran into a few road bumps but nothing that we couldn't over come with normal shop tools. The truck drives and shifts very smooth.
Breaking in the clutch , then taking it to Torrie for a dyno and tune.
That's BS dude, they aren't time bombs. Of course it can be if you beat the shit out of it and neglect maintenance. I bought mine used, and I've put over 40K on mine and it's FI. I'm sure many other people here will tell you the same.
I miss my HID's. I couldn't get them working correctly with the OEM headlamp switch. I tried relay harness and the caps/resistors, they would just blink on and off. I rigged a separate on/off switch for them but that was too cumbersome so I removed them :(
That's another thing I've been reading up on, install seems very simple, and I've seen a lot of debate on washer fluid versus the snow juice. I've also read about people using their washer fluid reservoir as the holding tank, what's the mileage of that scenario? Would I be looking at filling...
Damn Scott now you got me scared. I call mine a daily driver, but it's more like every other day or so, it hardly ever goes into boost unless I meet a ricer at the red light, but now you got me scared and I'm considering ripping this thing out. I don't have that kind of cash to throw into forged...
Haven't dyno'd yet, I'm taking it to Torrie after I finish my 6 speed conversion. Just waiting on parts to come in. Right now, all I have is the Paxton, SCT, catless mids.
