Been reading post for a while now. Just thought I'd post a pic. Picked up the 2014 this weekend. Have had the 96 indy since 1998. And the 04 srt 10 since 2020.
So I'm getting ready to change the oil in my 10 after sitting all winter. I was thinking I should pull the fuel relay and crank her over to get oil pressure up before firing it up. Does anyone know which relay I should pull?
If your rotors are the orginal there may be a clip over one of the studs. Or I've had some drums in the past that had rusted to the axel flange. Took a very big hammer to break them loose.
I'm very interested in the shifter also. From watching you tube videos. It looks like the shifter will sit 4 to 8 inches closer to the seat. That means modifying the center console and removing the center seat. Maybe even cutting some of the floor away. Not willing to do that much to my 1st 10...
I started to do some research before work. The article i read said theres somewhere you can send them to be reprogrammed. It also said something about the ecu not liking it when a different cluster is pluged in.
Before you get to deep into buying one out of a 10. Why couldn't you go to a local salavage yard buy one from a regular ram that would hopefully be cheaper. Take it apart to see if its even possible to replace just the broken part?
On the manual trans. Loosen the jam nut under the knob and turn the knob off. Put the correct adapter in the new knob. Screw the knob on untill you reach the jam nut. Turn it back untill the knob is in the correct direction and tighten the jam nut up to the bottom of the knob
I'd like to lower the rear of my stock 04 rc a little. Would removing the over load springs and adding caltrac's improve rear handling and take a little of the rake out of her?
