Not all of the parts store ones are junk. Mine has been in the truck a few years flawlessly. The failure rate may be higher but I guess I'm lucky like that.

Mine would do that before I changed my TPS. it would idle high all the time, then one night on the way to dinner with wife it switched from high idle to barely high enough to run(200-300 rpm max). tossed a TPS in and has been good since.

What's the issue? Possible that a regular tech capable to do what's needed. Side note: I bring a ton of tools when I go on a road trip. Doesn't matter if I'm driving the 10 or the wife's 2013 Durango, even when it was brand new. I am determined to not be at someone else's mercy to fix...
