    Rear end/suspension for towing

I don’t tow with mine, but the rear helper bags will help with your truck not sagging and will level out your truck when towing. Adding a rear sway bar when towing will also help out with stability when towing. I have both rear help bags, rear sway bar and definitely help out with stability/comfort.

    Front springs JTSVP vs Belltech

Tried to install the shock extenders the other day and they will not work with my Hotchkis rear sway bar. They interfere with the rear sway bar mount. The hotchkis rear sway bar does not bolt up to the stock sway bar mount holes, I tried but the sway bar endlinks don’t line up straight up and...

    Front springs JTSVP vs Belltech

Just added the prices for Belltech rear flip kit, Belltech RC front springs, McGaughy shock extenders, Energy suspension front bump stops and Prothane suspension rear bump stops. Basically what the McGaughys kit comes with and the total for all those parts was $428.07. It’s about the same price...

    Front springs JTSVP vs Belltech

No, i pieced my kit together. I’m using Belltech Components, I have RC front springs and a flip kit in the rear. I searched a couple different kits for an 05 Dodge Ram and the only one that seems to have the shock extenders is the McGaughys kit. Below are a couple of pictures from the kits...

    Front springs JTSVP vs Belltech

Just got these shock extenders in today. When you lower a truck, it changes the position and angle of the rear shocks. These will fix that issue. Pretty much 95% done with my suspension, I say 95% because I still haven’t installed my front upper and lower control arms energy suspension...

    Front springs JTSVP vs Belltech

Been driving the truck for a few days now and couldn’t be happier with everything. Bumps that would hit the bump stops no longer hit, the sweet spot is 10psi to run when you don’t have anything in the bed. I haven’t measured it, but with 10psi truck looks the same height. I highly recommend bags...

Yes, I noticed that as well when I installed them. Slight bend but not enough to pinch the brake line. Without the bags the brake lines already have a bend in the same location.

Had some extra time today so I finished up the driver side. I did end up drilling another hole for the driver side valve stem on the passenger side of the hitch. Looks pretty good, I should be able to provide some feed back by next week regarding the ride quality. Here are some more pictures of...

    Front springs JTSVP vs Belltech

I put the valve stem on the passenger side of the tow hitch, only issue I see is that on the driver side of the tow hitch is the electrical for the trailer lights and its using that hole to bolt the bracket. The fix is to measure and center 2 holes on the passenger side of the tow hitch. Here’s...

Next up are the mounts for where the air bags mount to on the leaf springs and are attached to the L brackets. U bolts for the mount are a little too long and might cut them with the angle grinder for my liking. Progress so far, along with the diagram of what it’s supposed to look like for a...

    Front springs JTSVP vs Belltech

Had some time today and decided to start with the helper bags install. Old center pin in the leaf spring wouldn’t come out, so had to get the old angle grinder. You have to remove it to add the spacer to hold the L bracket and flip kit saddle. L bracket goes between the flip kit saddle and the...

    Front springs JTSVP vs Belltech

My only guess would be that they didn’t plan for us to want better handling on a 4dr truck. Just did a little research and the f150 supercharged Harley Davidsons didn’t have a rear sway either. Couldn’t really find anything for the Silverado SS, but my guess would be they didn’t have one either.

I wanted to give my feedback regarding the Viking double adjustable shocks, all I can say what a difference! Way better than before, I like the adjustability these have. They have 19 settings for both compression and rebound. With a few clicks you can have a super soft suspension or super hard...

    Under hood lamp

i would assume so, unless you solder in another bulb in. I never replaced the bulb on the original one, since I mostly had it disconnected. Not bad for getting 17yrs out of it, Dorman part was like $15.
